CHAPTER 112Thorn's pov.It's heartbreaking that Genevieve thought I was part of the plan to get her killed. I admit that I did keep my true intentions away from her, I didn't tell her that I was in wolfang pack for a mission but I was never aware of Jamie's plans. CHAPTER 116Thorn's pov.Seeing Genevieve so worried about me made me feel warm inside. I didn't like to put her through pain, but it was rewarding to see her so concerned about me. I assured her that all of this would be worth it as soon as we get out of here. I whispered my plan to her and made her promise to play along as soon as the time comes. “Enough of that. Get up.” Jamie came towards us and ordered the guards to get me to my feet since I couldn't stand after they had battered me. CHAPTER 117Thorn's pov.“Fine then.” Jamie turned to face me. Genevieve was clinging onto me, like she didn't want me to go anywhere and I could tell that Jamie was sick of it. He rolled his eyes and separated us from each other again.“Enough of this nonsense display of affection. Go up there and get me that jewel.” He ordered, pushing Genevieve aside, causing her to land on the floor but thankfully, she wasn't injured.“I've brought you this far, there's your jewel. Why do you need me to get it?” I asked with furrowed brows, tired of having him order me around like some sort of pet or minion. “You must be deaf and that's why you're asking me that. Did you not hear what she just said? You're the only one who can get it so go up there and get the jewel for me.” He said with a stern expression on his face. CHAPTER 118Genevieve's pov.As our blood dripped down onto the jewel, I noticed a strange mist begin to rise from it. It was foggy and kept rising until it was as tall as a human being. The mist then wrapped itself around Taloria who was cackling loudly, spreading out her arms to receive the mist. “Yes! Yes! Finally!” She cackled in satisfaction.“At long last!!” I looked over at Thorn and he wasn't moving either. Is that really you?” I asked with my heart pounding inside my chest.“No.. it's me, the great witch Ginger Carmine.” She said in a deep voice and my eyes widened in shock and disbelief. She suddenly burst out laughing and threw her arms around me.“It's me big brother!” She hugged me tight and I immediately hugged her back. I was overly excited that I had finally gotten my sister back. The joy was out of this world. CHAPTER 121Genevieve's pov.Sweat bands already formed around my face and were dripping down to my dress. I gulped down hard, concentrating on the rubble, something seemed to be moving inside it but we didn't know what it was. Intuitively, I pushed Taloria behind me while Thorn and I stared with wide eyes, waiting for whatever or whoever that was in there to come out. All of a sudden, a gecko emerged from the pile of rubble, making its way into the forest. We were instantly relieved, glad that it wasn't any kind of danger.
