01. A Night To Never Forget

ALERIX (Five Years Ago) “Come here, Alerix.” He growled in order. I stood rooted to the spot, my thighs clenched in response to his order as I felt my core turning slick at his wicked perusal. My lower lip trembled so hard I had to bite it, the pain reminding me that I was standing before Joe Larsen who was all wet from head to toe. We locked gaze; even though his were hazy with drunkenness. There was still this hint of want… of lust in them. “If you-” He hiccuped. “If you let me say it again, you will blame yourself.” He said, his voice low and dangerous. The signals in my head were flashing at me, yelling that I should call my brother from wherever he went to but I could not. I wanted this too. I wanted his touch too. Just a touch from him. If this was the way I would see him want me, then so be it. I let my legs move on their own, my throat bobbing in anticipation and anxiety. I climbed into his laps, and instantly my shorts were soaked. He let out a painful groan as

02. Coming Back To Him

ALERIX (Five Years Later) If anyone had told me that I would be coming back to this place, this pack, I would tell the person that he or she was lying because I never saw myself returning here. This place carried so many memories I wanted to relieve and what again, the man who hurt me the most was here, alive and breathing. I let out a deep exhale, staring out of the window at the pack gate. Ever since Alec became the Alpha everything seemed to have changed. He had remodeled the pack and even built an orphanage in the pack name. I was so happy when he told me. It was great to do something like that, especially when I could relate. A sad expression etched on my face as Micheal cleared his throat, drawing my attention to him. “We are here.” He told me like I didn't know. Like I was not the Alpha’s sister. I tried to pull my lips in a sweet smile but I failed. He pursed his lips, pulling my hands into his. “I understand. You will do just fine. Trust me And besides, I am here

03. Staying For A While

ALERIX I couldn't take my eyes off him. His eyes were magnetic, attracting me to him and holding me captive. Joe had changed. He looked built now. He was… a man. That reality made dread coil in my belly. I bit the inner of my cheeks as he quickly masked his shock with indifference. My left eye twitched and I looked away. The air in the room was tense. Almost everyone in the space knew what went on between us. Although he might not know completely, yet, he knew. “Alerix.” He greeted, with no shock or surprise in his tone. “Joe,” I mumbled in response. He went on to tell Alec what he wanted to do and my brother gave him permission to leave. He walked out, not even bothering to look at me while I stared at him. “Alerix, you should stay over. Our anniversary is in three days.” Alec suggested, trying to ease the tense air. I bobbed my head. “I would love to but the… you know,” I gave him a sad smile. He knew what I was talking about. My children… I remembered when I had f

04. A Night To Spend

ALERIX Alec had insisted that we stay over for the night since it began raining in the middle of our dinner. I tried to make him understand that I had kids to see but he adamantly told me that I would be going out in the stormy rain so that was why we were in the living room, right now, hoping the rain would stop. Except it was just a dream that would not come through. “Your room has been prepared,” Elristeya announced and I glanced up at her. She offered me a smile and I nodded. There was a guy who was sitting opposite me and discussing with my brother. I tuned them out and listened to Micheal’s talk on why he hated rain. I just hummed in response because I could feel Joe’s burning gaze on me. Why was I feeling like that? I should not. He kept rejecting me over and over again and yet again, he wanted me to swoon over him. He is mistaken because I would never do that. The rain didn't stop so I gave up and went to my room. Apparently, Alec made his wife prepare another r

05. A Clash

JOE Her thick thighs… her plush lips… the way her eyes were dilated as I stroked her.… Alerix was back. I was not expecting that and Alec didn't inform me either. When I asked him, he said he didn't know. Not like I deserved to know. I have done nothing but ignore her and I was unusually mad about it. She was different now. Her curves were now accentuated and she looked like a woman. My woman. No, I shook my head. I fucked that up when I got carried away by Lestiana. I didn't know she had left until months later. I know it was bad on my part but I had told her before she fell for me. I tried to save her heart from falling in love with a cold-hearted person like me. When Les left, she took my heart along and there was nothing else I could give her. I did not know why I was feeling strange at Alerix bringing a man to the pack house. I tried not to talk to Alec about it. I felt fishy about the guy. He was… “Joe?” I blinked as Alec called my attention. Just as I opened my mouth to
