I walked the hallway to the hotel room with Carla, slowly trailing behind me. Swiping the keycard, the door opened and I walked inside.
Seconds passed before she got to the threshold, visibly nervous and scared. She didn't move any further. With an impatient sigh, I grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.
“Dawson…” she tried to protest but I quickly kicked the door shut and stood in front of it.
“Carla. Relax…”
“I don't wanna be here…”
“You'll leave in a few minutes,” I said, grabbing her hands, and stopping her from reaching for the doorknob.
“No. I wanna leave now…” she said, struggling to free her hands from my grip.
“Just give me a second, Carla. Please. I need to talk to you. We'll just talk. And then I'll drive you to your apartment.”
“What do you wanna talk about?!” She asked anxiously. “You said we were going on a date. Why did you bring me to a hotel?”
