"Is it true that you two have rekindled your relationship?" Lauren inquired, adopting the demeanor of an investigator. Faye couldn't hold back her tears. The conversation she had with Kael kept haunting her thoughts, and their kisses lingered vividly in her memory. She was acutely aware that she was betraying her commitment to Harry, but it felt beyond her control.  

Kael brought Danica to his apartment, offering a place to stay after her harrowing encounter with Brian left her fearful of returning to her own place. At this moment, Kael was the only person she felt comfortable leaning on, as she didn't want to burden Lily, who was going through something even more challenging.  "Are you sure you'll be all right here?" Kael inquired, handing her a bottle of water.

She shouldn't care about anyone else! "Lily, can you tell me about your relationship with the four defendants?" Attorney Gregory asked the initial question. "Kenneth is my stepbrother. I was thirteen when my dad and his mother got married. Soon after, my daddy brought him to our house... I met Keith because he often came to the house as Kenneth’s friend. I was in college when I met their three other friends,” she replied, her hand beginning to sweat. "How did you meet their two other friends?" "I-I was nineteen. There were several occasions when Kenneth had tripped me up. He threatened to harm my nanny if I didn't go with him… So, he took me to a hotel..."

A lot transpired in Carmela's case, and it was quite chaotic. However, what Lily didn't anticipate was Carmela, the woman who had filed the case, withdrawing her case against Kenneth's group. This came as such a shock to Lily that it was emotionally painful. She felt the urge to cry out of frustration.  "I'm going to Faye's office," she told Drew. They had been resting at home for a couple of days, and she felt within herself that she was ready to confront whatever the problem was. She needed to face this before she could truly accept it. 

Kael met Faye in another country and listened to all her complaints. He allowed himself to silently grieve for the man she was planning to marry while Faye sobbed. Now, he understood why Faye no longer wanted to go back to America. In a little while, he ordered food to be delivered to the room because he doubted whether Faye could eat at the hotel’s restaurant. She barely touched her own order either. Kael joined her in watching a movie on the television before informing her that he was going back to his room. It was already midnight, and they both needed to rest. "Can you stay?" Faye asked. "Faye..." Concern etched on Kael's face. His mind was now firmly set that it would be wrong if something were to happen between him and Finn’s sister. "Faye, I am dating someone," he stated firmly. The shock was written all over Faye's face. She pressed her lips together and didn't know what to say. "Danica? The woman you were with at the birthday party? Is it her?" "Yeah...
