Sofia The new nickname surprises me and I have to look over my shoulder to find him in his chair, legs crossed, staring at me while sipping from a mug. It must be his black coffee. I kiss the rose gently and hope he understands that this kiss is for him. I leave my cell phone on the table and reach for my mug, which I usually drink coffee from. I take some water from my disposable bottle and dip the stem in it to keep it looking beautiful for longer. At the end of the day, Laura, I and a few other colleagues are already in the elevator when Brandon, closely followed by Jessica, arrives. She, as usual, ignores us. He, always very polite, nods and says hello.“Gentlemen. Ladies… “ the green eyes pass me by. Very brief, but intense. The doors close and the lawyer wraps an arm around him, making a point of getting very close. I almost rolled my eyes. Laura nudges me, less discreetly, with whom she says she won’t do anything? I shrug my shoulders in response, helpless. What could I do,

Sofia On the way to my apartment, I think about how my life has changed in just a few hours. It was supposed to be a normal day, but here I am. Afraid to go out in the street and be recognized by an erotic video and… apparently, I’m engaged to one of the richest CEOs in New York. I’m a bit dizzy from it all. I never thought my peaceful life would turn out like this. As soon as we turn the corner onto my street, we see a small group in front of my building. Brandon parks his car on the curb some distance away and mutters through his teeth.“Damn. They’re fast. Nervously, I play with my hands.“What have you decided? Do you want to go there anyway and pick up your things, or shall we come back another time?I sigh and decide.“Better to face it. If it’s a small crowd now, it’ll be even bigger later. He agrees, twisting his head sideways.“Yeah. Something like that. “ He takes my hand and brings it to his lips. “ Remember. Keep your head up. We didn’t do anything wrong. And you don’t

Sofia Some time later, Brandon goes to his office in the penthouse and I come back to finish packing my things in the closet. Meanwhile, I called my parents and updated them. I decided I’d better tell them about the photos and videos that had been distributed. They would find out somehow. As I expected, they were a little shocked and disappointed. It saddens me. But they cheer up again when I reveal that I’m getting married. Lisa and Theo are still people who like to live the old-fashioned way. I dare to think that perhaps they still thought I was a virgin. That’s why I was worried that this whole storm would reach them before they heard from me. That’s why I was so relieved to hear that I was going to marry the man involved in the scandal together with me. For both of them, that would be something like keeping my honor. Night falls, and it definitely does me good to occupy myself with tidying up my clothes. Time passed more quickly. Brandon was here from time to time. He brough

Sofia "If you are, I am. By the way. I've got some news. Jessica got a date for next week. "he suddenly lets out. The smile dies on my lips and the familiar chill in my stomach sets in again. "Already?"Yes. The sooner, the better. "his last sentence sounds a little worried. I swallow. "Why… why do you say that?He frowns a little and looks at me. "Because I don't want you to give up on marrying me.A shiver runs through me and I stare back at him. Brandon laughs, looking a little uncomfortable, and looks away."Don't look at me with that frightened face. It's just that the sooner we formalize this relationship, the better… You haven't seen the gossip sites, have you? "Certainly not. "The better. "Do they keep talking about it?"Yes, there's always someone talking about it. "And do you think it will stop after the wedding?"At least it won't be forbidden anymore. And, consequently, the subject will lose its humor and fall into oblivion. "I hope so…"We need to talk about

Sofia I chose a cozy restaurant and a table on the sidewalk. I think Lee Ann might feel a bit more at ease that way. Likewise, I really want to meet this woman. She can't be all that devil she's trying to show Brandon. And she's half an hour late. And without Leanne. I was hoping that the young woman would come so that I could get to know her better. Lee Ann is wearing a floral jumpsuit with giant platforms. It's becoming obvious that she has problems with her size. I stand up to greet her, and she ignores my outstretched hand. "I still don't understand what this meeting is about, but I'm here. "she says, settling in."It's like I said. I want to get to know you for yourself. "You're right about that. If it was because of what that ingrate says about me, I'm sure he wouldn't even want to get close. "Well, neither of you treat each other with courtesy. "I start, trying to defend my husband. "Oh, I'm not up to being polite to anyone anymore. The waiter approaches. I order a lem
