Renna After seeing Grandma, I parked up outside the house, the sound of the car door closing echoing in the quiet street. I was glad I had seen her; the touch of her hand lingered on mine, making me promise to visit her more often. Just as I was about to get out, the shrill sound of my phone ringing fills the air. When I look down, I see it’s the hospital. I answer immediately, “Hello?” I asked, my voice tinged with uncertainty, unsure why they were calling me. There were no signs of trouble or any issues when I was there. “Luna Renna, please, can you come back to the hospital? There has been a situation.” The nurse on the other end of the phone tells me as I pause, thinking about what it could possibly be. “Okay, I’ll be right there,” I hang up, feeling the weight of the key in my hand as I slide it back into the ignition before turning out of the driveway and heading back to the hospital.
