CHAPTER 61

KIRA Kira ran aimlessly, but then stopped. The night had fallen hard now but she could see everything clearly. She could hear everything clearly too. In fact, all her senses were on high alert. But despite her senses, she had no clue where she was. She found a shelter and tried to change, but could not. She tried to focus, but could not. It was like she was stuck! As tears streamed down her wolf eyes, she remembered how she had forced Dimitri to take deep breaths to calm him down. But every time she tried to take a deep breath, she howled with pain and rage. It seemed that calm would not come to her. As she howled to the moon for the third time, she heard an answering howl. A very familiar answering howl, as if it was pleading with her to listen, give it a chance. It was Dimitri’s howl and he was calling her, no, he was begging her to come back to him. And no matter how hurt she was, his voice forced a calm on her and she felt ground grow closer. And before she knew it, she was lyi

CHAPTER 62

KIRA Kira ran for the entire night, stopping here and there to gather her bearings but did not transform. She first changed into herself when she saw the Table mountain, the beautiful sightseeing point in Cape Town. It was at the crack of dawn and finally she transformed, got dressed and looked up a taxi for the airport – she knew she won’t be able to go into the population in middle of the day in the wolf form, unless she wanted to be hunted or land in an animal shelter. Kira stared at her phone – her old phone. Dimitri had said that her phone was now GPS enabled but she did not care anymore. Let him know she had gone to Romanian embassy, let him know she had gone to Romania – to her family. After all it was there he wanted to dump her, isn’t it. She bought the flight to Pretoria – she did not use the credit card Dimitri had left her, and waited. Was she hallucinating or were there more men in black around? Fortunately, there was a flight in thirty minutes and they had a few seats

CHAPTER 63

KIRA Kira walked inside the gates and felt a very different aura in the place. She flinched as her every instinct told her that she should run away. But she knew it was because of Dimitri. She turned and saw Dimitri was still on his knees, head hung low, sobbing. Taron was now at his side, staring up at Kira, shaking his head, disappointed. The door opened without her even ringing the bell, and she entered. “My darling girl,” a woman shrieked the moment she put her first step inside. And a woman – Kira recognized her as Maria Whitaker from her voice and photos she had seen on the internet – walked up with open arms and hugged Kira tightly. But the moment she hugged her, she pulled back, wrinkling her nose, and spat. “Why do I smell a La Gualias on you,” Maria Whitaker spoke. “Grandma?” Kira whispered, with tears in her eyes. “You let him defile you, didn’t you?” Maria Whitaker spoke sharply, and slapped Kira squarely in the face. Shocked, stunned and taken aback, Kira staggere

CHAPTER 64

DIMITRI Taron had to drag Dimitri out of the road. Dimitri could not believe it. She left him… she left him crying on the road and went to the Whitakers. And it hurt him worse than he had anticipated. Taron suggested that they should stay back in Pretoria, in case Kira wishes to come back to them but Dimitri refused outright. He took his chopper back to Hermanus the moment he had found his senses. She had chosen them over him! She had made her choice. Despite all explanations, so much love, protection, and him begging on his knees, she chose them. And in Dimitri’s head, it was enough. Dimitri locked himself in his room and did not know what to do with himself. He had never been so miserable in his life! Yes, he made a mistake but was it so severe enough that she would do this to him? He wanted to lay down on his bed but Kira’s scent was all over it. Remembering the sight with which he had woken up, with so much love and passion, he threw the bed across the room and rampaged out t

CHAPTER 65

DIMITRI Knock ! Knock ! Knock ! And before even Dimitri could respond, Taron entered. “Boss, she is gone,” Taron spoke haphazardly. “I know, I felt her goodbye,” Dimitri spoke sullenly. “But my men say that she did not arrive at the Whitakers mansion,” Taron continued. Dimitri sat up straight at this. “Where is she?” Dimitri asked. “She took a morning flight to Bulgaria,” Taron sighed. “I checked at the airport, she was alone, and of course, Whitakers cannot step foot in Joburg, so, she ran away from them, but she ran away from us too, boss.” “She took a flight to Bulgaria?” Dimitri looked confused. “Yes, this is the flight manifest,” Taron handed it to him, and Dimitri laughed. “Nope,” Dimitri shook his head as he laughed hollowly. “Damn it, I cannot even laugh properly without her!” he scathed. Taron blinked at him, so Dimitri added, “She did not go to Bulgaria. She is very smart, she knows Whitakers own Bulgaria, she would never step foot in it their region. She is goi

CHAPTER 66

KIRA "Your ultrasound says otherwise,” the doctor said. “Your fetuses are four months old.”Kira was super stunned by this. She had sex with Dimitri ten days ago... mere ten days ago! In normal human world, ten days are not even considered 'pregnant' and here she was, already four months pregnant. And not to mention, twins! TWINS!The thought shook Kira more than she could even comprehend. Kira did some mental calculations. If ten days means four months, then these babies would be out in what, another fifteen days? How was it even possible? Bloody hell, where had she landed herself. What did Dimitri do to her? Did he ejaculate super powerful inhuman sperms in her, she scoffed internally.Rani’s mother was, as expected, stunned by this news but she accepted the fact. She understood that Kira was vulnerable and some guy must have taken advantage of her. But she could not un

CHAPTER 67

KIRA & DIMITRI Kira wanted to use fake identity when she was admitted, but as that was busted – all thanks to her being a medical marvel, Rani’s mother had given her true identity. Also, Kira did not wish to tell Rani's mother how many fake ids Kira really have! (she had four... thanks to Taron.)But Kira feared that her true name was going to ring some bells. And she did not fear Dimitri, she feared the Whitakers. What would happen to her children, to Dimitri’s children, if the Whitakers got their hands on them? Kira remembered Dimitri saying that first child of any clan in every generation was very powerful, so these children would be very powerful too.In the last two months, Kira had considered many times to ask her aunt from where she got the suppressant, but she hated herself every time for even thinking that! She had even reached her aunt’s house once, but could not ring the bell.

CHAPTER 68

DIMITRI & KIRA Kira stared from her spot at the scene. A huge crowd was gathering around them now, but Kira could still see Dimitri.“Call the warden and the nanny,” Taron ordered as he picked up one of the children in his arms.“Why are you not picking up your child?” Kira whispered sadly as she saw Dimitri just standing there.Dimitri was just staring at the babies with frozen expressions. He could not believe that.“Call Dr Serena too, let us get them checked,” Taron added.“Pick them up!” Kira whispered a little audibly, and Dimitri’s head jerked. Kira  shifted to hide behind the tree even more securely. Dimitri sniffed the air, and he could sense Kira. He walked to the guard house and inhaled deeply. Along with children’s smell, he could definitely make out Kira’s scent, but it was very different now! Was she ill?

CHAPTER 69

KIRA When Kira came through, she found herself in Dimitri’s bedroom. She looked around, she was alone but the room had a very neglected sort of feeling. With great difficulty, Kira tried to pull his pillow to inhale his scent, but there were only lingering traces of his scent. It seems that he was not sleeping in this room at all.Kira’s heart fell as she realized the meaning of this.Dimitri must be sleeping in his other room then, with his mistresses. Well, what did Kira care for! He had slept with hundreds of women before, now he can sleep with thousands… maybe he already has slept with a thousand in the past two months, she thought bitterly.Kira tried to get up but felt incredibly weak. She did not even have the strength to turn in the bed. So, she stayed put.“Ah, you are awake,” another familiar voice.“Hello Argo,” Kira smiled as she tried to l

CHAPTER 70

DIMITRI It took Dr Serena and Argo full twelve days to nurse Kira back to health. Her body was so weak and fragile that something or the other kept on going wrong every time they thought that she was getting better. But she was improving, gradually. Dimitri was relieved to see that the hollowness in her cheeks was reducing, her face was getting fuller and overall, her jovial self was coming back. But even after twelve days, Dr Serena did not allow Kira to walk out of the building. She could just visit the nursery and head back to her room, but Dimitri was very, incredibly upset to see that Kira did not visit the nursery as often as she should. She was maintaining a firm distance from her own children, and she was missing the glorious days of their early life. Dimitri was shocked and surprised to see that Kira had put in the kids names as ‘He’ Brown and ‘She’ Brown on the passport. “Not very original, isn’t it?” Taron had laughed when he had shown her travel itinerary and their pas
