*Nikko's POV*Ash's paws pounding on the earth perfectly matched the pounding of my heart as we made our way to the packhouse. I couldn't believe the effect that this girl was having on me after only a couple of weeks. For the first time since my dad died, I felt truly happy.The packhouse came into sight, and I shifted back into myself, so that I could head upstairs to my room and get some clothes on. There were a few members of the pack that were hanging out in the common room today, and they acknowledged me as I walked by.Once in my room, I put on the first clothes that I grabbed and headed to the office. I wanted to get done with everything as soon as possible, so that way I could go see her early. Being away from Jo was already hard, and it hadn't even been an hour.The office looked messier than I remembered it being two days ago, but I chalked it up to Byron covering for me, and sat down to check the messages on my phone and computer.There were certain human things like:

*Jo's POV*I could hear the water running from the other side of the bathroom door as I took off my last layer. I stood there, completely naked for a moment before I took a deep breath and slipped in through the door as quietly as possible.Nikko's blurry silhouette teased me through the glass shower door, and he didn't seem to notice that I had come in. I shut the door quietly behind me, and simply stood there. My feet seemed to be frozen to the tile floor.Cressa stepped in and filled me with the courage I needed to walk over to the shower door. I wondered if I should say something or not, but instead I just slid the door open. There was already steam built up that escaped as Nikko whipped his head around.For a solid minute, he seemed to just stand and stare at me, as I took all of him and he took all of me in. The water continued to cascade onto his back, creating more steam to fill the bathroom. Then he seemed to find his voice."Jo, what are you doing?" he asked huskily.I

*Jo's POV*I blinked, but still couldn't see anything.Cressa whined out loud. I tried to shake my head to clear it, but realized that it wasn't listening. I blinked my eyes a few more times as I looked down, and was surprised when I saw two giant golden wolf paws where my hands should be."We shifted?!" I asked Cressa."We shifted!" Cressa responded, excitedly."About time!" Her excitement was rubbing off on me. "How did we finally do it?""It must have been Nikko," she thought. "Wait, Nikko!"She looked up and it was so weird to have her in control and to see things through her eyes, but I tried to focus on what was on hand and saw Nikko. He was standing there, still completely naked, and just staring at us in shock.Before I could stop her, Cressa tried to run to Nikko. However, the first shift must take some getting used to, because we could barely get to our feet.Cressa let out another whine, and it was odd to actually hear it. *Jo's POV*The water was thundering into the bathtub, filling it up quickly with hot water and filling up the room with steam. Nikko stared into my eyes as he caught the edge of my shirt and slowly pulled it over my head, followed quickly by my sports bra.He stopped to stare down at my topless body for a moment before grabbing the edge of my leggings and underwear in one grip and pulling them all the way down for me. His nose stopped at my flower and I shivered all over as he slowly stood back up.I was now completely naked in front of him, and I was surprised by how natural it already felt. I confidently grabbed his jeans and began to unbuckle them as he pulled off his shirt. He stared at me as I grabbed the jeans (he had no underwear on) and pulled them down to his ankles, dropping onto my knees.He popped out in front of my face, and I couldn't help but stare. *Jo's POV*"Jo, stay in the car!" Nikko yelled as he had already moved me to the side and jumped out.Byron was only a step behind him. I sat there for a moment, my mind trying to process what was happening as I watched them leave. My body felt numb."We can't just let the pack get attacked," Cressa's voice cut through, clearing my mind. "We have to follow Nikko and Byron, and help them."Cressa was right. I opened the door and jumped out. As soon as I was outside, I could hear shouts and howls echoing through the trees. I tried to remember where I was at, and how far away I was from the actual pack. I hadn't been paying attention on the ride home since I was worried about Nikko.I smacked myself in the forehead, trying to focus on a solution. But I had never been in a situation like this, and I didn't know what to do. I knew I wanted to get to Nikko and Byron, and that I wanted to protect them above all.
