Looking at her son’s pale face, Mable suddenly regretted bringing him to Dorland. Although the days were boring at the castle, at least Spike was safe from danger. Tracey patted Mable’s shoulder and offered comfort. “Don’t worry, Mabes. The doctor said Spike will be okay.” Mable nodded without a word. It was nearly midnight after all the fuss. By then, Spike had received his IV treatment. Tracey stayed with Mable the whole time. She could tell that Mable cared a lot about Spike. Nevertheless, Tracey could not believe Spike was Mable’s son.
