Drip. Drip. Drip.I pry my eyes open, but it doesn't make any difference. Darkness surrounds me, and panic rises in my throat. The dripping water somewhere is the only sign that I'm actually awake. That, and the pounding headache, that is. Actually, my whole body hurts as if someone took a hammer to it while I was unconscious. I push myself into a sitting position, the clinking of chains making me aware of the manacles around my ankles and wrists. I wish I could see where I am, but this darkness is impenetrable. Usually, we lycans are pretty damned good at seeing in the dark, but there has to be a little bit of light available. Here, there's not even a smidgen. Drip. Drip. Drip. "Hello?!" I shout out, feeling the grip on my sanity slowly slipping. "Anyone there?" Part of me is terrified that there will be an answer, the other part terrified that there won't be and that I've been left here to die. There is no answer
