Chapter 2

Chapter 1 Sania was at the dining table for breakfast along with her younger sister Lana. Lana nudges her elbow and signals to her the disappointed face of their father. Sania raises her eyebrows and asks Lana the reason and just then their mother places the pancakes along with strawberry syrup on the table with a cold face. Lana shrugs, unable to understand the reason behind the irk of their parents. "Sania, Rickey called this morning and informed your mother that you are selected at the NYU on scholarship program to do the fashion designing course at Manhattan. Sania picked up the unexpected call at the odd hour of midnight. She wondered what her parents wanted to speak to her at past 12. Sania picked up the call cheerfully with a smile but the next second what she heard made her fingers tremble and her heart skip a beat. Sania's mother Margaret who was always a brave woman started sobbing on the phone. Her father suffered a stroke and urgently required two stunts near his heart to save his life. Two hours later Sania came out of her unconsciousness. She did not die but due to the effects of alcohol and cigarettes Abraham's friend mistook her as dead.
