As soon as Rose walked into her apartment, she took off all Wayne’s clothes and collapsed on her bed. She had carefully folded them and set them on a chair, just because she was dead tired did not mean she was going to just toss them on the floor like trash. She could not remember the last time she was this tired and her head was banging so loud; it probably had something to do with the bottle of scotch which she had befriended earlier. She was going to have a killer hangover when she woke up and was just glad that she had no work in the morning. The guys at work would absolutely love it if she showed up to work looking like crap. They already did not value her presence at the company, and they would certainly be glad to see her in that kind of state. She had been due for a promotion for more than a year now; she was hardworking and diligent in all her projects. But, she was yet to get the promotion she so rightly deserved. Guys who had been employed befo

"Jess his house was hugeee, I almost could not believe my eyes when I got there," Rose started excitedly. She had been dying to talk about this with Jessica ever since she had set her eyes on Wayne’s mansion. It was always fun to gossip with your best girl."Of course it was huge, hellooooo? It does belong to a billionaire," Jessica said with a grin. She was really excited to hear about everything, if only the incident with cinnamon had not happened. She would have been the one to tell Rose about all she had seen."Then they did a security check on me, like they suspected that I was carrying a bomb or something. I had to be scanned and everything.""Jeez, so high maintenance.""They took my phone away which was why I was not in constant communication with you throughout the night. They didn’t want me to take pictures or record any conversations. I’m really sorry that I made you worry when you could not reach me." Rose said apol

"What?? I don’t understand, someone slaps you and you don’t slap her right back. Instead you go into the bathroom and throw up?" Jessica said as she shook her head in disappointment."It wasn’t my fault, I was never expecting a stranger to just attack me out of nowhere; I assumed she was sane or would act like a normal person. Then I threw up at that moment because all the alcohol in my stomach was making me feel sick." Rose said in her defense."You should have at least thrown up on her that would have been some pretty awesome payback." Jessica said with an evil grin."Ewww, that's disgusting Jess. Plus that means I would have thrown up on Wayne too because he was holding on to her." Rose said pointedly."That would have been his fault for standing in the line of fire, he's just lucky that you didn’t throw up when you guys had been making out. I’m pretty sure you would’ve melted into the ground with embarrassment." Jessica said with a naughty gig

It was clear to see that Rose was on top of the moon as she prepared to leave Jessica's apartment with a huge smile on her face."I am so excited Jess! I really needed this break and this money is going to help a lot with other things." Rose said as she twirled around with joy.She was not a lazy person and did not spend money frivolously but she had a lot of necessities to pay for. Her car was a major thing on that list; it was one problem after the other and at this point it would be cheaper to just get another one. She had nicknamed it ‘Chelly’ and would have hauled it off to the scrap yard a long time ago, but it did the job of getting her to work. There was also rent, it was a little expensive because of the area where the apartment was located. But Rose really liked it there and the only cheaper options were farther away from work. She also had to make payments on her student loan every month. By the time you added gas, groceries

The next morning, Rose was up and about long before the sun rose. She considered showing up at the private investigator's office by 7am and just waiting until they opened up by 8:30am. But that seemed like a "crazy person" move and she wanted to appear sane to the private investigator so he would at least take her seriously. She had sent in an email about her being a few minutes late to her office's official email address which she knew Jane Mayo checked almost every hour. Jane Mayo was her boss' secretary and she knew that Jane would inform him if there was any need to.This seemed like a lot of procedures to follow for just being a few minutes late for the first time in practically forever. But she knew how Jack could be, so it was best to take all necessary measures to ensure that there was no backlash. She decided to wear a dark green pantsuit with a black camisole and matching black pumps. She packed her hair up in a ponytail and completed the look wi
