31. The Challenge.

Eoin. My sister was a strong wolf, and I was fully on board with her, knowing what was happening to Ben's home pack. I knew my father agreed deep down, but I guess fear as a parent led to some inner battle. He was busy now pulling warriors to send with us. I lean against the black SUV, watching Max say goodbye to Daphne on the Palace steps before he joined me. Once he tossed his bag inside he joined me in silence. Rori came next, her hair tied up, her clothing changed now, and a small gear bag in her hand. "Ready?" She asked tossing it in. We nodded just as my parents elated from the Palace entrance. "Wait." my mother called as she tossed herself at us. " Be safe." she whispered. My father embraced us also but stayed silent until I heard someone else approaching us. I raised an eyebrow as I saw Adam and James walk towards us, each carrying a bag. "I can't go, but I'm sending the next best thing. Listen to Adam." Dad began then turning towards Rori he pulled her close. "You're mar

32. Fear

Ben My eyes flew open, and the harsh white lights hanging over where I lay burned into my sensative eyes, forcing me to close them with a groan. Pain rippled through my body as I felt more and more now. I could smell the chemicals and antiseptics of the Palace clinic. I could scent my mate very faintly, but it was clear she wasn't nearby. That idea forced me to re open my eyes and look around the room slightly panicked. My worry increased when my eyes fell on the Queen Charlie sitting in an armchair by my bed, her eyes closed in sleep. "Charlie." I croaked all formalities lost, and right away, she opened her eyes, tossing the blanket off her knees she rushed to my bedside. My throat and mouth were dry, and she knew this as she picked up the cup of water with a straw and placed it to my lips. I took a long drink, glad of the cooling sensation that rushed down my throat. "Where is Rori?" I asked as she put the water down. "At the Big Paw Pack Lands." she replied. "What?" I was shock

33. A Bad Luna

RoriThe gun fire blasted out from various points across the woods and forest as Ben instinctively tucked his body over mine in a protective stance. "F**k this crazy bitch." I groaned. I moved to survey my surroundings, but Ben held me tight with a protective growl. "Ben, we are out in the open here. You need to let me go. We need to fight together like Luna and Alpha." I said, and he let me go. "You stay close, little mate." Kane's voice rumbled from Ben's chest with a silent understanding settling between us."Always." I said with sincerity as a passing bullet ruined our moment, and we dashed for cover. Once I hit the cover of thick trees, I spotted the Luna Megan darting amoungst the bushes. She was directing hunters towards the Alpha's pack house where the vulnerable pack members were."Get control of the weak and the pack children, and they will surrender." she barked straight away, and my wolf spoke in my head. "Over my dead body." Tara snapped. "Agreed," I muttered, and de

34. Part of the Oak tree

Ben. She is so amazing. Her laughter was contagious as it rang out whilst she took in my childhood room. Even after the horrible day she had, she found the amusement in life. God, I loved her so much. My heart was about to explode. She had risked her life to accept a challenge from an Alpha for the pack, killed the Luna Megan, and then spent the evening hosting the pack feeding the warriors and being all-around perfect to everyone."You know you are amazing." I told her as she leaned against me. "So perfect, but you are never ever again to run into a fight without me." I added as I ran my hand up her waist. She lifted her arms, and I took the hint, removing her jumper and shirt. Pushing back from me with a smirk, she hooked her thumbs into the waist band of her leggings, and without leaving my hungry gaze, she shimmed out of them. Now she stood before me in nothing but pink panties. "You're turn." she smirked as I quickly removed my clothes and grabbed her close. I savoured the delic

35. A new hurdle.

Rori. A few days ticked by, and I began to find my footing. Aiden was going to be a working progress. He was very by the book and took guarding me very seriously. I knew Max would be recalled to the Palace, and I had not decided if we would settle here or return. Right now, with Luna Ivy still recovering and Alpha Gideon working with the Palace and council through the aftermath and paperwork of the ambush, both Ben and I were needed here. Whilst I was still well looked after with an assigned ladies maid omega and my Gamma gaurd Gideon, I loved being away from the Palace life. The hustle and bustle of the pack house was lovely but less pomp and ceremony. I loved living in the forest hearing the birds and the rustle of the leaves. But most of all, I loved my little dynamic with Ben. We had fallen into a comfortable routine. together, and it had given me a taste of my future that I was reluctant to give up now. Being a princess in my father's court now seemed so mundane. I spent my days

36. Mac and Cheese

Ben. Watching my mate excitedly show me the tiny pink items she had chosen for the Gamma families new addition. Vast amounts of tulle and lace that to me would seem to make it difficult to hold a tiny baby. It all seemed so impractical what newborn needed a pink tutu, but my mate seemed very keen on it. However, when I did point out the ridiculous of the outfit, I was shocked at her agreement, and her only argument was that it was cute. As I packed the car, she placed an excited searing kiss on my mouth that was filled with her love. I drank her in, her delicious scent and all she had done for me and my pack. The way she was now facing new charges with not only a brave face but that she was focused so happily on the packs is the newest addition. "Hmmm, makes one broody, does it not?" She mused against my lips as I raised an eyebrow in peeked interest. It was subject we had skirted around but never discussed."I guess, but I assumed we were waiting." I replied as she burst out into l

37. A Luna's Aura.

RoriYup, I was being childish. I knew this, but something about being back under my parents' roof always made me rivert back to a childish, moody teenager. I was well aware of this when I slammed my bedroom and was even more aware of it when I dramatically tossed myself face down on my bed, but I had committed now to the dramatic tantrum. I lay there alone whilst Tara laughed in my head about how weird human emotions were. I mean since my awakening as a mate I now could possibly guess exactly how my parents found themselves in this situation not that I didn't know the dynamics before its just now more clear and yuck a shudder ran through me. "I think the key here is not to put yourself and Ben in your parents' shoes." Tara chuckled in my head. "Oh goddess, shut up." I replied, burying my face in the pillows. After a while, I heard a gentle knock on my door, and my mother entered, holding a buttercream cake and two forks. She sat on the bed as I sat up she held out one of the forks

38. Saving Anthony.

BenI watched Rori bite her lip as she considered my question. What could she possibly be angling at here. "Rori?" I prompted, raising my eyebrow. "I have a strong feeling here, Ben, that Anthony isn't to blame." she sighed. I couldn't believe this when it came to Anthony she always had a soft spot for this overconfident idiot Alpha. He always irked me, and I was willing to bet that was the possessive nature in me, but to me, Anthony had no redeeming positives. "Rori, he led an attack on my pack." I said. "Our pack," I added, emphasising the our. She shook her head. "That's just it, Ben. I don't believe he led anything. Do we have solid proof that Anthony hurt anyone?" She said as my mouth fell open. "Rori, he tried to force himself on you to mark you forcefully." I reminded her, trying hard to keep the anger from my tone. "Yes, he did on his mother's orders, and under the belief he had held his whole life that he was doing what the moon goddess wanted." she replied. "That doesn

39. The Pheasant Falls Pack Alpha

Rori. Ben didn't give me shit about my quest to save Anthony he just supported me. After the council and my request for an in-depth look at exactly what Anthony was guilty of, he hadn't judged me. In fact, he had stated to the council when asked that he stood by me. What more could a girl want in a mate I laughed as Tara agreed. Big, tall, handsome body of Adonis and willing to stand by me. He had spent all evening making me forget, so by the time I was hungry enough to head to the kitchen where my parents sat, I felt like jelly. The bliss was running through my veins. "I brought you two up a plate from the pack hall." my mom called as I unwrapped the foil to peek inside. "Steak and baked potatoes." I told Ben as he nodded, and I loaded it into the oven to warm up. "I hear you want Anthony to be re investigated." My mom called from the seating area where she was cuddled up with my dad. I smiled for all the world they looked like two teenagers, my dad's hand resting on the slightly

40. The Kings Decision

Ben. The Vampire's report supported what my mate had suspected, and I was sure now she was right. Anthony had agreed to allow Madame Lux place him under a spell to replay his keys memories in an attempt to prove he thought he was acting on the moon Goddesses behalf and not his own plight for a higher title. I personally never liked the guy, but then he was a threat to my mate, so instinctively, we were never going to be best friends. The guys Arthur,Eoin, James, and Ash as Alpha's and Beta blood never felt the same as me. Now Rori was marked by me I didn't feel as strong in some ways but then I was reminded of him forcing himself on her and this was why I asked King Emmett and Beta Adam to leave me out of the deliberations regarding Anthony. They had agreed, and I was happy to leave it in the hands of her father. I was now sitting with my future Gamma Aiden as we went over Rori's new detail. I wanted to ask the King to remove his men from her service, but I needed to make sure she wa
