Chapter 11. Mission Partners

GRACE P. O. V My mind was full of many questions about Gabriel's behavior today. I felt strange and confused at the same time because he had been so resentful of my presence. Knowing he was sending out mating signals, of course, surprised me. I gathered my strength and got out of there as fast as I could. My stomach ached, and something wanted to come out of my mouth. I stopped by a small stream and vomited up the food I had eaten this morning. My throat was very sore and felt like something painful had strangled it. My body fell to the grass, feeling helpless to even support my legs. My veins were visible as I clenched my hands tight on my thighs. I was so angry with myself for not being able to resist the tempting signals he was sending. The tribrid identity attached to me seemed to have no dignity when I was around Gabriel. The feeling of shame mixed with anger made me want to destroy this place. “Grace, it turns out you're here.” Alpha Rey's voice interrupted me. I turned my

Chapter 12. Her Gentle Touch

Gabriel P. O. VThis time I didn't understand Alpha Rey's way of thinking. Usually, he lets me go alone for the tasks assigned to me. But for this mission, I had to pair up with my former mate, Grace. My forehead furrowed deeply when I saw her standing in front of my house. What caught my attention were the clothes she was wearing. I knew she could wear any style of clothes. However, the outfit she's wearing right now is too sexy in my eyes. Her tall body was clad in a fitted black dress that only covered half of her thighs. Her long legs were clad in knee-high black boots. And her hands held a large, heavy-looking backpack."I've been standing here for an hour ago." She pouted while trying to fix the backpack on her back. Her fingers combed through her messy blonde hair as she looked at me with piercing eyes."I didn't tell you to wait." I walked past her to my Jeep parked in the yard.I put my backpack, which contained only a few sets of clothes, into the back seat. Grace stood besi

Chapter 13. Meeting My Wolf Mate

GRACE P. O. VI was at a loss for words when I heard Gabriel's entire confession. He carried me up to the clouds before dropping me to the ground with dominant force. His sweet treatment managed to make me blush. However, when I heard that he didn't want me, it broke my heart.“Do you know that your words hurt me?” I glanced out of the car so that my heart wouldn't hurt seeing his face.“Did my words offend you, Grace?” He asked me a silly question instead. I smiled a little as I looked up at him.“How do you think my feelings, Gabriel?” My back leans against the car seat as I stroke my stomach. My baby triplets were floating in my belly, and it seemed like they could sense the turmoil I was feeling.Gabriel brought his face closer, and then his long fingers stroked my cheek in a super-soft motion. He unbuckles his seat belt with one hand, then pulls my arm closer to him. I wasn't ready when he suddenly picked me up. Gabriel places my body on his muscular thighs, and his arms enclose

Chapter 14. Tribrid's True Self

GRACE P. O. V A room dominated by black, red, and gray looked mysterious in my vision. Once again, I entered a different dimension. The wind blew strongly, hitting my exposed body. I quickly buttoned Gabriel's black shirt, which was currently attached to my body. My head moved in random directions to look for a way out. However, my gaze stopped at a large painting that looked mysterious. The surface of my boots rubbing against the marble floor made a noise in this quiet room. I approached the only painting on the red brick wall. “Who is she? Why does she have a face so similar to mine?” My fingers stroked the surface of the painting. The knife suddenly came out from inside the painting and stabbed my hand. “Grace, you finally come to my place.” I looked back and found a woman wearing a black dress with red gradients from medieval Europe. Her long black hair flowed down to her waist. She stood gracefully. Her lips, smeared with red lipstick, smirked. She looked cold and mysterio

Chapter 15. Superb Acting

GRACE P. O. V Gabriel drove his car at a moderate speed. The streets looked deserted. Gabriel chose to access an alternative road to the forest in Colorado. The roads around the forest are rarely known by many people. It absorbed me in staring at the beautiful scenery from behind the windshield. My lips occasionally uttered admiration when I saw animals emerging from the forest. I don't know how long it has been since I enjoyed the view outside with a relieved heart. I used to travel a lot, but I never felt this lighthearted. The atmosphere that was originally cold has now turned warmer. Gabriel was no longer silent. He started to engage me in conversation and asked me about my favorite foods. I was happy because my relationship with him was no longer as rigid as before. For me, this was more than enough. A relationship as friends is much better because we don't need to be bound by ties and are more relaxed about life. “We'll be at the inn in thirty minutes. Is there anything yo

Chapter 16. I Turned Weak Before Him

GRACE P. O. VIn reality, the journey to the primary destination feels long. Being in one place with someone who hates you is uncomfortable. No matter how hard it is to ignore that person's existence, there is still a tense atmosphere created.I decided to stay awake. The scenery on the side of the road was more pleasant than Gabriel's gloomy face. The man gave off a dark aura that seemed to signal that I shouldn't approach him.The beautiful view of the mountains and the pine trees lined up couldn't calm me down. My chest felt so tight that I had trouble even breathing in oxygen. Gabriel's statement managed to make me feel uncomfortable. My lips hissed as my stomach twisted in pain.I can finally breathe freely after the car I'm traveling in stops in the courtyard of a two-story house. The building was semi-modern in style and predominantly made of wood. It was the only house standing in the middle of the forest. If I were in a good mood, I would probably be happy to see the red ros

Chapter 17. The Lowest Point

GRACE P. O. VI thought the events I experienced some time ago were a mere dream. The pain centered on my vital organs was proof that I really experienced sexual harassment and physical violence.I don't know how long I was unconscious. When I regained consciousness, the sky had darkened. My face looked up, staring at the expanse of the night sky with millions of stars showing off their light. My mother once told me not to worry about anything because she would always be beside me. She once said that when she dies, her soul will join the stars. Is my mom seeing me right now?I hope she doesn't see me in this broken state?I raised both my hands to my chest and closed my eyes tightly. I focused my mind as my lips chanted silently. My eyes opened as I felt something surround my body.Numerous small fairies were surrounding my body. Their bodies formed from pastel-colored wisps of light shone on my skin. The fairies rubbed the flower wands in their hands over the wounds on my body. Magic

Chapter 18. Hate Me If It Pleases You

GRACE P. O. V The one-sided kiss broke away, and I could finally breathe properly. “Don't touch me anymore. Get away from me!” I shouted, and my eyes glazed over as soon as I released my lips from Gabriel's captive lips. Gabriel smirked. He grabbed my cheeks until my face was so close to his. “Only a fool leaves something pleasant behind.” My breath caught, and I stared at him with an incredulous look. I had always respected Gabriel so much. However, after he sexually assaulted me, I was truly disappointed in him. Maybe if I shouted, the people living in the forest could hear it. I didn't care anymore if I revealed Gabriel's true nature to many people. “Someone help me!” I shouted. Gabriel firmly gripped my cheek. He chuckled sinisterly as he grinned. “You'd better use that scream to yell my name when you cum.” His hot tongue licked my cheek and then ran down my jaw. “Your screams are useless because this house is far from a residential area,” he added in a whisper in my ear. My

Chapter 19. Do the Same to Me

GRACE P. O. V Gabriel releases my embrace from his body, then gets up from the bed. He put on his training pants, then walked out of my room. I stared at his departure with sadness. Had I not broken our bond, maybe we would be as complicate our fate as it is now. Everything had happened, and there was no way I could turn back time. Now there was only regret piling up in my heart. My legs bent and pressed against my chest. I covered my face with my palms to block the sobs that were about to come out of my mouth. There's nothing more distressing than crying so silently at night that it's hard to even take a breath. I shuddered as I felt a cloth covering my naked body. I looked up and found Gabriel standing in front of me with his shirtless body. “Gabriel….” “Can't your brain think properly? If you leave your body naked all night, you'll be sick the next morning,” he said with a stern voice and a hard look on his face. I smiled slightly as I adjusted the blanket properly on my b

Chapter 20. His Dirty Words

GRACE P. O. V After arguing with Gabriel, I decided to rest in the attic, located on the second floor. Although the place was dirty and full of dust, at least I could be calm without Gabriel's presence. In the morning, I woke up with a limp. I looked at my reflection in the bathroom mirror with a sad feeling. My eyes looked red and watery. There were traces of tears on my cheeks because I had been crying all night. “I'll have to cover it up with concealer,” I said as I touched Gabriel's bite mark on my shoulder. His bite mark looked horrible to my eyes. After I finished showering, I went to change my clothes in my room. It surprised me to see Gabriel already on standby in my room. He was sitting on the single chair by the door. “I've been waiting for you here for an hour ago.” He spoke to me in a hoarse voice that sounded irritating to my ears. I walked past him and acted as if he wasn't in my room. One hand holds the base of the towel I'm wearing to keep it from sagging. My eyes
