Anna and Hazel were tucked into bed in the very same room she slept in anytime she was at the mansion. Perhaps it was third time here now, and all she could do was stare at the wall. Her mind was fully awake, all sleep seemed to have faded from her eyes suddenly and all she could think of now was that she was getting married tomorrow. Tomorrow? Scratch that, today! It was two am already, she would be married in hours! Only a few hours and she would be thrown into a wedding gown and whisked down the altar and into a life she was not in the least prepared for. She was experiencing cold feet right now in this very moment, yet... Was there any backing out at this point?Luca had stuck to his side of the bargain, he had paid for all the expenses they made during her grandmother's surgery, and now she was out of the theatre and soon to be recovered. Hazel reached out carefully for the tray, grabbing a waffle, she begun to eat quietly, solemnly.The maids filtered in the bathroom to prepare a bath for her.They filled the bathtub with water and readied it with bubbles, some milk and soothing fragrance oils. "My lady, the bath is ready, you have to eat a bit quickly." One of the maids said to Hazel, bowing her head lightly.She nodded her head firmly, swallowing her food as she stood from the bed. "it's fine, I think I am done eating."She could barely muster an appetite at this point even.She reached for her the edge of her dress to take her clothes off. "Let us help you my lady." One of the maids said. "No it's okay" she protested with a weak smile, "I will shower by myself.""But my lady, you know we cannot allow you do that, especially not today." Not too many people were invited to the reception. The music was playing softly and everyone was smiling, going from one corner to the other exchanging greetings and presenting their good wishes and gifts to the couple. Luke was seating in the midst of the crowd. It was an indoor reception, done under a very big beautiful canopy of flowers and decorative lights. The evening air was cool, the bride and the groom stood in front, smiling animatedly with their arms intertwined, putting on a perfect show for the guests.Lucinda crept up upon Luke like a vine, placing her hands on the back of his chair and proding her head into his face. "Luca didn't invite our parents." She murmured in dismay.Luke shrugged, crossing his legs and sipping from the cocktail in his hand. Rays of sunlight drifted through the huge glass windows in the corner of he room, seeping through the open blinds and into Hazel's eyes. She stirred in her sleep, turning to the other side of the bed and her head flying across her shoulders as she did so. She grabbed a pillow mindlessly, straddling it between he hands and her thighs as she continued to sleep, snoring lightly.A knock came on the door. She groaned softly, trying to ignore it, as part of a dream that would go away. But it persisted, one more time, two more times... The third time, she groaned loudly, "come in!" She groaned in annoyance. The door opened, although her eyes were still closed, she was still sleepy."Good morning ma'am." Hazel could barely believe herself as Anna pulled her to the mass of tightly packed bodies, the music banging in the air and the smell of liquor so dense it felt like she could almost taste it just by breathing it in. How Anna perceived this as fun, she was yet to understand. Bodies were grinding recklessly against each other on the dance floor, sharing bodily heat, and even saliva as some were already intensely making out as they rubbed against each other in the slightly darker corners of the club. Anna turned to her as she continued to pull her through the crowd. "Come on, we need to get you something to drink." She yelled out to her over the sound of the music.She could barely hear her, but most of the words drifted through her ears at least.Hazel frowned in response. "Something to drink? You mean water?
