Roxanne found herself in the pack library. If she wanted to learn more, taking Rune's classes wasn't enough. The library was tall, with majestic shelves that stretched towards the ceiling with books of all shades and sizes. The floors were polished, large windows that flooded the space with natural light, a grand staircase curving up to the second floor and cozy reading nooks with plush armchairs.Roxie felt like she was in a sacred ground, this library was way too neat and grand. Curiosity led to a shelf and she grabbed the first book that made its way into her hand. “The Five Sages,” She read the title. She opened the first page.“Hi,” Roxie let out a little scream and she dropped the book in shock but a hand grabbed it and she met the striking brown eyes of a boy with two huge glasses at the bridge of his nose.“Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you,” the boy immediately apologized. “I'm Cein, Rune's younger brother, I help keep the library clean,”Roxie smiled at the cute way he adj

“AGAIN!”Roxanne was panting as her back met the floor for the seventh time in 30 minutes since they started training. She got up with a grunt. And got into a fighting stance.Kaizen was mad. She didn't need to be a genius to figure that out and he was taking it out of her. She never called him weak so why was she the one who got to feel his wrath when she had barely put anything in her stomach. She was a weak human for goodness sake, nothing compared to their supernatural strength.“What the hell, Kaizen?!” She exclaimed because what the fuck was his problem.“No talking,” that was the only shitty response she got before he was throwing punches at her face that Roxie dodged with practiced steps, however, in the next moment, she was hitting the ground hard again.“Get up!” Kaizen ordered while Roxie had enough of his brutal training on her poor oh-so weak body. She got up but this time, didn't give him time to retaliate as she circled her arms around his hips and tackled him to the gr

Kaizen ogled at the ceiling of his room that was obscured by darkness with the curtains of his room closed and the lights out.He liked it like this; being enveloped by nothing but darkness—it gave him a sense of security. He shut his eyes and tried to sleep but was abruptly disturbed as his sharp ears caught the sound of footsteps coming towards his home.He got out of bed and threw over a hoodie on his naked upper body and stepped out of his bedroom. He entered his living room and smelled the air around him, trying to detect who was coming his way. Instantly he could tell it wasn't any of the Sages but an omega, then came a knock on the door; he opened it.“Ravna,” his crimson eyes punctured through the cold gray ones of the redhead. “How did you get here?” The forest wouldn't allow anyone to find his home unless he allowed them.Revna raised her hand where his eyes fell on a little cut on her wrist. She used her blood. “Did you forget, I lived here till I was ten. I learned from y

Roxanne wanted to feel what Kaizen felt; she wanted to feel a connection with the earth and nature since it was a natural habitat for a wolf.Roxie nearly laughed at how ridiculous she was being. She had only been in Blood Moon Pack for a month and she was already starting to believe their nonsense of her being a wolf.Well, Roxie also believed they won't go all the way to the human world and kidnap a random stranger off the street and claim she was one of them. Kaizen, Ciel, Jarvis, Rune and Azriel looked smarter than that. And after that little ordeal in one of the mind shielding classes, Roxie was starting to believe in their nonsense because she felt like there was nothing inside of her that was begging to come out but something else suppressed it. The Sages believe it was her wolf trying to reach out and Roxie believed them. Which was why she was here; in the misty forest at the early hours of the morning. Isleen and Willow promised to cover for her during breakfast.“This is ri

Kaizen entered his father's office, his gaze instantly descending on Lucien and Maverick, who were occupying the two vacant seats while his father was seated on the other side of the large table in his office. “You sent for me.” His tone was monotonous as usual.“Yes. Your brothers and I have been conferring and we believe you are the right contender.” He looked at Lucien and Maverick—both of them had ass-eating grins on their faces and ridiculous gleams hoofing in their eyes. “You see, the Alpha Ink of Crystalheart Pack’s daughter lost her mate to a recent rogue attack and this has put her wolf into despair. This can only be solved if she gets a new mate, which is why her father has reached out for my assistance and asked for my son's hand in mateship with her.”Kaizen didn't need him to continue. Instantly, his crimson eyes were obscured and his hands wadded into fists. “I am a Sage.” “It doesn't matter.” He waved his hand dismissively. “There have been instances where Sages hav

It was early in the morning, and Roxanne found herself back in the forest, trying to find the lake Revna had taken her to, but no matter how many turns she took, she kept coming up to dead ends. She sighed in frustration. She could swear this was the path Revna had taken. She wasn't dense enough to forget something that easily; even if it was a spooky forest, Roxie swore she would have never entered alone if she hadn't been kidnapped and brought to a place with no human civilization. It didn't matter what technology they had. With a beaten sigh, Roxie spun and trekked back and then out of the forest. Revna has said ordinary people couldn't find the lake and there was nothing particular about her. Roxie returned to her room, finding Bloom pacing from one corner to the other while beating her nails in sheer panic but immediately seemed relieved when their eyes met."Thank the goddess; I was worried you would miss breakfast again. You can't be lucky twice, Roxie!” The omega squealed. “

It was the day of the mating ceremony. Kaizen sighed as he looked up at the dark sky. The moon's light was gentle and it shone brightly on the crowd of werewolves that gathered around the bonfire. It was that time of the year when werewolves who were of different ages and came from different packs came together to find their mate. The time of year when strangers become bonded forever. The worries and cares of the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the present. The bonfire and the moon. He was envious. And in the middle of the crowd and dancing around the bonfire were the champions; Kaizen's eyes were only fixed on one of them, Roxanne. She looked pretty under the moon in her delicate silks and sheer outfit. He watched the way her black hair shimmered as she bounced and the way her hips moved to the beat of the drums. It was enthralling. And she appeared joyful as she danced with the other girls. It was the happiest he had ever seen her when she wasn't being flirtatious and charmi

Alpha Ink of Crystalheart Pack’s daughter was dead.Standing among the other Sages, Kaizen stared at the body lying on the bed with an expressionless look. Her body was white as snow, like every drop of blood had been drained; her pupils were wide and white; and at the corner of her mouth were blood stains.“It's poison. The smell is nauseating.” Ciel examined without getting close to the corpse with a grimace. “There's signs of struggle. She must have suffered before death. Whoever did it is malicious.”Jarvis sauntered over to the little table beside the bed and picked up an empty glass. He brought it to his nose and sniffed. He immediately grimaced in disgust and walked back, extending the glass to Kaizen. “It's a monkhood and wolfbane.” Kaizen took the glass from him and sniffed under his nose and indeed it was a monkhood fixed with wolf-bane, the deadliest form of poison for a werewolf.“Do you know what this means?” Azrael stated but was interrupted when the loud sound of reson

Reyna entered the packhouse library with a determined look and went straight for the first section but as soon as she grabbed a book off the shelf, a head popped out of nowhere, causing her to jerk in startle and the book fell to the ground with a thud.“Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.” Cein giggled at the look on her face and he walked out of his hiding place.“Very funny,” the redhead snorted and picked up the book from the floor. She read the title and realized it wasn't what she sought. She placed it back in its position and grabbed the next book but suddenly, Cein was in front of her, smiling wide and large, just like the glasses on his face. Reyna ignored him with a tsk.She wondered why the brothers chose to embarrass themselves with these glasses when they did not need them. Werewolves have sharp senses; it was like insulting the moon goddess's intelligence by using those human tools. “What are you looking for? I can help you.” Cein offered his help, watching the redhead w

Roxanne loathed physical training more than the next person. She wished she could stay at the back and remain concealed behind the rest of the girls, but she knew with Kaizen's gawking eyes that she couldn't escape even if she strived.“Roxanne.”Roxie sighed at the sound of her name and hauled her legs to the center of the field, where her opponent waited for her like a piece of meat. She looked at Kaizen, who stood at the side. She gave him a pout but he rolled his eyes. She looked back at her opponent; there was a glint in the champion’s eyes as she looked at Roxie who grimaced at the sight.Roxie swallowed hard, her throat dry and her mind raced with strategies that she wasn’t sure would work, but there was nothing wrong with trying. She only needed to survive this once and go back to her bed. She got into a fighting stance.Suddenly, her opponent was lunging forward. She swung a wild punch aimed at Roxie’s head, who barely ducked in time as her fist grazed the top of her hair. Ro
