Dinner (2)

True to her word, Meredith sent the address a short time later. Genova quickly dressed up and rushed out of her room. She hurried downstairs with her bag slung over her shoulder, hurrying past the dining room where Eva and Zoe sat.“Gen! Where are you off to in such a hurry?” Eva inquired halting Genova in her tracks. “Oh forgive my manners, aunt, I almost didn’t see you there,” Genova mouthed with a weary smile. “I’m off to have dinner with a friend.” “Ooooh, a friend? Is this friend by any chance that boy you told me about?” Eva teased, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.Genova averted her gaze to hide her blush, especially from Zoe's enquiring gaze as she sipped her orange juice.“That's not it, aunt. It's just a nice lady from work named Meredith," Genova explained.Meredith? Eva’s eyes brows draw together. Why did that name ring a bell? Or was it because she had never come across anyone else with that name other than the High Queen? Though she has never met the latter, the en

“See you guys later!” Genova yelled as she got into the car which door was held open for her.  “Have fun!” Eva yelled back, while Zoe just rolled her eyes and pointedly ignored Genova as they silently watched the car drive away. “You do realize that the guy your precious Gen is going out with is the Alpha and heir to the largest wolf pack in the city, right?” Zoe spoke while making their way back into the house. "Does it really make a difference? Their friendship will strengthen the bond between the two packs and improve our alliance in the event of a threat."“Whatever you say, Mom.” Zoe huffed. “I wouldn’t trust that guy,” she added before storming into the house and slamming the door shut behind her. Sophia

Eva made her way slowly to a completely isolated house in the woods. She had no choice but to park her car by the side of the road earlier because the rest of the journey would probably ruin her Ferrari. Her lips pressed together as she continued on foot through the dark forest that was much darker than she had anticipated despite the fact that it was day outside. She arrived at her destination… a small house in a dark clearing deep in the forest - after a walk that would have left her ankles begging for relief if she had been human. Anyone who didn't know where to look would have a difficult time finding the location.A clearing next to the ranch had a large pond in the middle of it. A young woman was seen standing by the pond, looking down at the water and staring at her reflection as ripples spread across the surface. She had full black hair that glowed a strange green color when the sun hit it at just the right angle.Despite the fact that she clearly heard

Revealing (1)

The dragon-like monstrous creature thrashed its massive claws and tail all over the park, uprooting nearby buildings and structures. It annihilated anything unfortunate enough to be within its colossal strength and weight. The word ‘out of control’ couldn’t describe the mayhem it would cause if something isn’t done soon. Ashly's dragon form was gigantic. Her scales possessed a deep crimson hue and her imposing figure stood on four muscular paws. Her snout bore a striking resemblance to that of a fierce Komodo dragon, complete with a menacing set of razor-sharp fangs adorning her mouth. She was a terror-striking sight with an array of long horns and a series of formidable spikes running down her back, ranging in size from her commanding head to the tip of her tail."What the heck do we do now? Ashly's gone totally berserk!" Irene exclaimed as she stood wide-eyed beside Jasmine."I'll try to restrain her before she wreaks havoc on the city," Jasmine declared, taking a firm step forward

Revealing (2)

Hovering amidst the crimson flames the dragon had unleashed, was a mysterious figure possessing large, golden wings reminiscent of a gigantic butterfly and a female’s graceful form. The enigmatic being flew toward the dragon with determined purpose, hovering in front of the colossal beast and gently placing one hand on the creature's snout. The scene resembled that of an angel descending from above, as seen in fantasy films. It was magnificent to behold, with the sun casting a warm glow on the figure's outstretched wings. The people below gazed up in awe as though they were witnessing a divine intervention. Well, it was to a certain degree because their asses were about to be saved. "Be calm, little one!" The flames that had engulfed Ashly during her rampage returned as the soft female voice resonated. This time, however, Ashly reverted to her humanoid form stark naked and fell into a deep slumber.Jasmine exhaled a relieved breath she hadn't realize

Revealing (3)

Genova returned home, slamming the door shut behind her with a mix of frustration and anger. The front door of the house immediately pulled back to reveal Eva’s worried expression.“Honey.“ Eva rushed forward with extended arms to give her niece a comforting hug. “I heard what happened. I was so worried...” She trailed off in stupefaction when Genova brushed past her without a word and ascended the staircase. She was left standing bewildered with her arms awkwardly still stretched out."What in the world?” Eva murmured, her voice filled with shock as she watched Genova‘s retreating figure briskly disappear through the flight of stairs. Genova headed straight to her room and slammed the door behind her before collapsing onto her bed. A frustrated groan that came from deep within left her throat. She twists and turned on her bed, still shocked and overwhelmed by the bizarre turn of events that day. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine encountering supernatural beings, let alon

~PRESENT~Images and visions of raging infernos plagued Ashly's dreams, painting vivid scenes of savage beasts locked in bloodthirsty battles, their thunderous footsteps shaking the very foundations of the earth."No... No.” Ashly's anguished murmurs filled the night air as she thrashed about in her bed, drenched in perspiration. Her eyes finally opened after what seemed like an eternity of torture, and she gasped. Her breath ragged and labored as she sat up on the bed, desperately trying to calm her frantic heartbeat by taking deep breaths. The cool air filtering through the window only helped to amplify her pain and loneliness.A solitary tear cascaded down her cheek as she finally succumbed to her sorrow. "Mom... I miss you.” Finally deciding that crying wasn’t going to change a thing, Ashly got out of bed to go in search of her brother. Dominic stood in front of a mirror in his room, meticulously getting rea

Thanathia

“Your mother!!”Genova’s eyes went wide. “Mom?” She asked in disbelief. “Yeah, your mother!” Eva reaffirmed before she began, "Millennia ago, Earth was occupied with savages known as humans. They were constantly at war, destroying and rebuilding kingdoms and empires. To put it simply, they were their own worst enemy. The moon goddess eventually grew tired of their never-ending battles and sent eight supernatural beings to solve the problem.""Who exactly were they?" Genova leaned in and was curious to learn more. Eva gave her a long stare before picking up again to list the names, each of which held great significance and power."There was Margret, the Witch. Garfield, the Dragon. Damon, the beast. Diane, the Elder Fae. Behemoth, the Mage. Edith, the Phoenix. And Drogo, the Vampire Lord. Together, they formed the Great Council. They made the world what it is today."Genova listened intent

She turned to see him seated on an ornately carved throne-style chair.Eva then turned her attention to the other guests in the room and joined them quietly. The meeting began when Kaden and Karla positioned themselves behind her on the long couch."As you are all aware, the problem of rogue infestation in the city has become truly... disturbing, and it demands our attention," Jack began solemnly."I agree that rogues have become a societal threat, but we must remember that they have significantly reduced the number of humans hunting down our kind. Complete annihilation may not be the best course of action "A woman dressed in a long black gown and wearing a large black hat spoke up."Harming humans isn't what we do. We've hidden in secret for years, and i

The Invitation

You can’t keep yourself locked up in here forever, man. "You need to go out and let loose; it's been two days," Brooks said as he stood looking down at Noah who was seated on the floor with his head buried between his thighs.“It’s a full moon today. The effect will wash in real soon and you are going to need someone to vent all that pent-up orgy,” Brooks added. “I can’t believe he’s gone.” Noah's voice was barely audible, and his pain was palpable.Brooks let out a sigh. "I understand how difficult it is to lose your only surviving parent, but drowning yourself in grief will not help. The pack needs you.” He knelt down to Noah's level and pressed his brow against the latter's brow. "I've made arrangements at the Fortier Hotel - it'll come in handy when you need to blow off some steam."Noah finally lifted his head to look at Brooks after a long silence. His eyes were bloodshot from desperation a
