Her heart pounded in her chest as she sprinted down the dark alleyway. The sound of footsteps echoed behind her, growing closer with each passing moment. She knew that the group of men chasing her were getting nearer, she could sense their anger and agitation. Sweat beaded on her forehead and her breathing became ragged as she pushed herself to run faster, dodging around trash cans and ducking under low-hanging pipes. She had to keep moving, had to find a way out. With a burst of energy, Sarah leapt over a fallen street light pole and stumbled as she landed on the other side. She caught herself just in time, but the rough brick wall at her back told her that she was trapped. She was cornered, with nowhere to go. Sarah wakes up with a jolt, gasping for breath as she sits up in bed. Something is wrong. The room around her is unfamiliar, and for a moment, she is disoriented. Then she remembers - she isn't in her room back at home, this is the palace.
