Chapter 21 "Is it something you want to talk about?" Tate asked as he drove her home later, but she shook her head, not even bothered about raising her gaze to look at him, since she was busy with her phone. She had many things on her plate now, and allowing Knox to disturb her head was the last thing she wanted. "What time is Carole coming over today?" She asked him, not sparing him a glance. "I think she should be here an hour after we arrive home," He replied to her, and she nodded her head. "Mr. Arnaldo said that I had a few documents to revise from home. Has he sent it already?" She asked, and he sighed briefly as he glanced at her through the visor. "Why don't you drop the honorific for once, Aliyah? He will feel bad if he heard you say that," Tate uttered, and she sighed as she slowly raised her gaze. Chapter 23 Knox tossed on the bed for the fifth time, finding it difficult to get some sleep. His mind was occupied with lots of thoughts, and he couldn't even bring himself to get some sleep, at least, not after what happened back at Aliyah's school today. It took him some time before he finally felt his eyes heavy, and he didn't resist the sleep since it was what he has been waiting for, drifting into dreamland. The sound of his ringing phone pulled him out of his deep slumber, and he groaned tiredly as he tossed on the bed, and as he cast a lazy look toward his side, the bright sunlight penetrated his eyes, and he forced them open as the realization hit him that it was already morning, or late in the morning, rather. He groaned as he sat up on the bed tiredly, and he gasped when he glanced at the wall clock to see that it was already 10am. "Shit!" He cursed under his breath, realizing he had an appointment with his workers this morning, and it was already time

Chapter 25 It was finally the day for the audition. Waking up this morning with a slight headache that was caused because of nervousness, as many things ran through her mind. As she stared at her reflection in the mirror a few minutes later, she felt her heart thumping hard against her chest. She was all dressed up for the audition and should be on her way soon, but somehow, she didn't feel like going. What if she didn't win the role? What if they say that she didn't do it well? What if... She stopped and sighed briefly as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "You'll be fine, Aliyah. Everything will be fine. You can do this," She assured herself as she stared at her reflection in the mirror, then took a deep breath before she stood up to leave, but she stopped abruptly and touched her forehead when she suddenly felt her eyes spun. She gulped down nothing as she tried to keep her eyes open, but they were too tired to hold themselves open, and she was getting weaker.

Chapter 27 "Are you kidding me?" Nina scoffed unbelievably as her eyes went wide. "How can you ask me to share my script with her? Where is that even done?" Nina further shrieked as the realization dawned on her what was going to happen out there if she was really to act with her. She knew this was never going to end well. "Miss, there is nothing wrong with it. Besides, you were going to do that with another participant, so there is nothing to make a fuss about. The person that should be angry now is Miss Aliyah, and not you. She is the one that got the wrong script," The director tried to explain to Nina, and she sighed. "We should get to it already. We don't have much time left," Aliyah uttered as she snatched the script from Nina, and as she glanced through it, she just couldn't help the smirk that laced up her lips. Chapter 29 "You look gorgeous," Tate complimented her as he glanced at her through the visor, but she only faked a smile and looked out through the window. Those words? Well, it had been long she last heard that. It has been so long that she could barely remember who said those words to her in her lifetime. "What is my tomorrow's schedule?" She asked, breaking the awkward silence that assumed the atmosphere minutes ago, and he sighed. "I am not that smart to memorize your schedule. You are going to be hanging out with your dad, so why don't you just stay focused and think about the date? It's going to be sad if you go there and have your mind somewhere else," Tate said reasonably, and she nodded her head. The rest of the drive was silent that Tate was almost regretting saying those words to her earlier. "We are here," His voice brought her out of his deep thoughts, and she looked out of the window to find out that they were already in front of the restaurant.
