*Kael* What do you do when your Fated suddenly hugs you? My hands are stiff by my side as Lilac wraps her own arms around me, placing her head over my chest. I clench my fists, trying as much as possible not to let her form against me derail my thinking. "Step back, Lilac" I finally speak. My voice demanding. She does, and I try to fight the low growl that escapes my mouth at the loss of her warmth. "Oh shit.. I am so sorry, I don't know why I did that." It is the first time I hear her cuss out loud. Lilac* "You are hurting me, Kael!" I groan, biting my lips as he holds me back against the car, his grip on my hand tightening. I don't think he hears me, because his grip doesn't loosen a bit, and his blue eyes darken the more. Am I imagining the gold rims I see at the base of his pupils? My head starts banging and I groan again. Kael's grip loosens for just long enough for me to throw an arm up and then he slams me down onto the hood of the car again."Stop being stubborn," Kael growls, pressing his palm down on my legs this time before I can kick him off again. My wrists feel like they're getting ripped off from all the twisting around I'm doing, but it helps keep myself restrained. Kael pushes himself forward so that our noses are practically touching. I stare into his angry eyes and try not to let my breath catch in my throat.He lets go of one wrist long enough to grab hold of my other hand and hold it up above my head, pinning my arms to my sides. I plaster a fake grin on my face as General Caulder shakes hands with my father, his own grin as wide as saucers.
