ArthurThe vast field stretched before me, a sea of green under the clouding sky. I sighed, frowning lightly as the sound of Stephen’s bike coming to a halt echoed in the distance, interrupting the calmness that I was just starting to enjoy. I turned around, squinting in the direction of the noise, my frown deepening as I spotted him getting off the bike with Jessy by his side. They began walking towards me hand in hand. A trail of jealousy skittered down my spine, causing me to clench my fist involuntarily. She had a wide smile on her face and although they were still pretty far away from me, I could almost hear the giggle that escaped her lips when Stephen leaned in to whisper in her ears. The sight of them together never failed to make my blood boil. I hated it. No matter how much I tried to lie to myself that I didn’t care, it never worked. I hated seeing them together so much.The closer they got, the better I could see their faces and although Jessy still had a smile across h
