Khalid POVI tried not to go and check on her, but I found myself doing just that. I just wanted to see her—I wanted to see that woman I hated so much. I forced myself to leave and headed to her room. On getting there, I placed a knock on her door. I didn't even know why I did that. I should have just barged in. After what seemed like forever, she finally opened the door. Then I choose to play cool like an innocent person. Maybe she will hug me all of a sudden, and I will be taken aback. And then I can bully, as always. But to my greatest surprise, she stood, glaring at me. "I love you, wifey," I said, so that she could be deceived, but yet she was only glaring. Maybe she's now smart, or I am now on her list of betrayals. Or has she given up on me already? How can she give in just within yesterday and now, even when the day hasn't ended? "Can I come in?" I asked. It's not like I can't push her and barge in, but I just wanted to create a good impression and then turn the game around.
