Alpha Asher’s POVSam burst out in laughter when he saw her reaction. It took him a while before he restrained himself from laughing, and then he calmed down and faced Marsai.“My brother is so bad at humor. He actually meant it as a joke.” Then he faced me. “How can one tell such a joke without smiling? You looked so stern, she would have thought you really meant it.” Sam chuckled, looking at the both of us with a funny face.I felt embarrassed again, as I had messed up in the joke I had been practicing all night along.
