~ReikaAs I lay there, the warmth of Vlad’s body pressed against mine, a sense of unease gnawed at the back of my mind. The world outside the tent seemed distant, almost unreal, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was wrong.Suddenly, the flap of the tent was thrown open, and Arya burst in, her face pale, her eyes wide with fear. “Reika, we need to leave. I had hoped for more time to prepare myself for this, but it seemed fate had other plans. “They want me. ~ReikaI hesitated, my heart hurting with the knowledge that I was leaving everyone fighting those monsters behind. I had to trust that they'd be okay. With one final look, I turned and entered the passage. As Arya led everyone into the depths of the passage, the sounds of the battle fading, I made a vow to myself, that I would find a way to end this war, no matter what it took. But now the women and children were of top priority.The darkness of the passage pressed in on me, as we followed closely behind Arya, through the winding tunnels. There was no light, just plain darkness, making it impossible to see anything. The only sense of direction we had was the formation of a straight line, where everyone held onto each other with Arya leading. As we reached the hidden exit in the forest, I paused and listened intently. The sounds of battle were distant now, but I could hear the occasional distant growls. ~ReikaI was leaning against a wall, my eyes slowing closing, heading to a much-needed sleep when the sound of a distant growl reached my ears. My heart skipped a beat and I rose to my feet in fear. I looked at Arya, who had frozen in place, her eyes wide with concern.How had they found us so quickly?“Have they found us?”, I asked, my voice trembling, even though I didn’t want it to. I had to be strong!“It’s a warning,” Arya said quietly. “ It means they’re still looking for us. They’re probably close by. As long as we don’t make any noise, we’ll be okay. We need to be vigilant”“What about our scent? I hadn’t thought of it earlier but won’t they be able to trace it here.”Arya gave me a faint smile, “I’ve taken care of that.
