Early Morning

Rain’s POV I was having a wonderful dream. My parents and everyone else was safe and home again. I still wasn’t sure what had dragged me from my perfect dream. It was almost like someone was daring to practice black magic in my mansion. Anger stirred swiftly inside me but I knew that I needed to proceed with caution. I looked at my mate’s side of the bed and noticed he was gone. I masked my powers and sent them searching the mansion. It was my way of keeping up with everyone here. I found Connie and Thomas in the dinning room. ShyElle and the evil fae Prince were in the sitting room. The darkness I felt was projecting from the fae Prince. Willix was inside his bedroom clinging to Syndel’s pillow staring blankly at the ceiling. Kit and Hart were back down in the dungeon with Crissy Darwin. I focused for a few minutes and realized that no matter how much Kit pleased with her sister, Crissy just wanted to be with Frank. I shook my head but actually understood her in a way. That’s how I

Devious Minds

Frank Darwin’s POV I was furious all the time. I was winning in the war against the shifters. I had the royal couple where I wanted them but I wasn’t happy. My wife was being held prisoner by those sickening monsters. They had better not lay a hand on my Crissy. I paced the secluded wooded area just outside Jadeville. I was away from the direction of the pack lands and the mansion. They never even think to look for me in the south. The only person who knew where I lived was the fae Prince. I didn’t trust him at all but I needed his fae magic. The fact that he had his own agenda was of no consequence to me. I would enact my revenge on those who had cost me everything. My coven, my family, and now my wife. They would all pay. I would rid the world of the shifters and enjoy every moment while they suffer. I continued to pace until I felt the fae walking closer to me. I hoped he had some sort of news about my wife. Maybe by now he would know the weak link between the king and queen. I wa

The Witch is Back

Crissy’s POV I was so tired of being a prisoner already. I missed my husband and my home. I hated being human. My magic was a huge part of my life and I felt so empty sitting here on the floor of this cell. The mansion dungeon was at least clean. I was well fed and constantly nagged at by my pathetic sister Kit and husband Hart. Ever since I left her years ago and walked away from our old coven she has tried to change my mind. I even hated to fall asleep most nights because she would nag at me in my dreams. Even right now at this moment she was staring at me with Hart by her side like a love sick puppy on a string. It made me want to puke. I really wish they would leave me in peace for awhile. I have refused to talk to any of the people in this mansion. The dragon scum that flew me here almost killed me and I’m still reeling from that. My only solace is that when my darling husband gains all the strongest shifter power, all the shifters will die. I couldn’t wait for that day. I turne

Delicious Chaos

Rain’s POV A single tear slipped down my cheek as I paced inside my bedroom. The plan was working so far but the price of success was very high. Inside the mansion I have used my magical powers to build a bond with each person living here. I knew the moment death happened in the dungeon. I also knew who the murders are and where they are. The evil fae prince had just freed Crissy and walked back inside the mansion. He is making his way upstairs to appear innocent of the crimes he has committed. Anger and hatred boiled inside me and swirled in my soul along with sadness at the loss of Kit and Hart. I stopped pacing, knowing it was almost time to get myself kidnapped. I missed my mate so much. The empty feeling in my chest was growing. I mind linked Mack and let him know to check the dungeon, even though I knew what he would find there. I decided to dress myself comfortably in a black tee shirt and black jeans. I opted for my running shoes instead of my boots. I had no idea what I was g

The Queen’s Plan

Rain’s POV I teleported Syndel and myself to the northern border. I stood just outside the border line of the pack lands. I knew I didn’t have a lot of time and I was hoping that Willix would hurry to meet me. I told him to bring Selwyn but now I knew that maybe I shouldn’t have said that to him. I didn’t want my treasure to see me now. It would only cause him pain and heartbreak again when I went back to Frank’s prison. I felt myself getting magically drained after using so much power. While Reya was sleeping in my mind she wasn’t helping me recharge. I held Syndel closer to my chest as I looked around the wooded area. I felt Willix getting closer to me but I didn’t reach out to him. I had to conserve what power I had for the chaos that was coming. Within moments of silence I saw Willix step out from behind a group of trees with alpha Rod at his side. When they reached me I quickly handed Syndel over to her mate. She was unconscious and Willix held her close and inhaled her scent. T

Painful Revelations

Rain’s POV Sleep wouldn’t come no matter how hard I wished it would. I even at one point tried stretching my aching body out flat on the floor of my cell. My fathered stared constantly at me. I crawled to the bars and looked deeply into his eyes. I searched for his dragon fire within his eyes. Sadness welled up from my soul. I knew he was in there and he was trying to find me but there just wasn’t a good enough connection in his mind to reach me. I pulled myself up off the floor as my father turned and wrapped his arms around my mother. I just wanted to hold on to them both and never let go again. I knew after I freed them and fixed their minds we would be a happy family again. I paced the small length of my cage like cell. I wanted my treasure. I missed my mate and being away from him was like pure torture to my soul. Light footsteps could be heard descending the stairs. I knew Crissy was coming but I wasn’t sure what for. Maybe to rub in my face the fact that I was now the prisone

The Restless King

Selwyn’s POV I knew something was happening here at the pack lands. Rod was acting strangely before he left in a hurry, without any explanation. “ Alta do you know what is going on here? Did alpha Rod tell you anything?” I asked while I stood up and began pacing the office floor. I usually met Alta out in the woods but we are inside the office of the pack house now. Alta looked at me and shook her head saying,” My king, I don’t know what is going on. The alpha didn’t tell me anything either. Maybe it’s something to do with the pack and he didn’t want to bother you.” I nodded and sat back down behind the desk. Maxim was always pacing in my mind or howling. It was getting harder to think straight. We wanted our mate back in our arms. I hated that our mate bond is closed off to each other. Anger over the situation flooded my mind again. I slammed my hands on the desk and stood back up. I needed some air and decided to take a walk. I left the Alta inside the pack house and walked out i

Comes the Dawn

Selwyn’s POV Time was crawling by as I counted the minutes until dawn. I felt the need to rush this final act so I could reclaim my mate. Every second we spent apart was like torture to my soul and to Maxim who was again howling in my mind. I glanced again at the clock beside the bed and knew I couldn’t lay here another minute. I threw the blanket back and sat up. I placed my feet on the floor and stood up stretching my tired muscles. I did my morning routine quickly and dressed in my usual black clothes and boots. Then I headed downstairs to find food and wait for Rod to wake up. I walked into the kitchen and was greeted by a few of the packs omegas who worked in the pack house as maids. I nodded a greeting and took a cup of coffee from a young omega. I wasn’t in the mood for company so I made my way to the office. I sipped the hot coffee and began to make my plan for the final act to come. As I thought of how I needed to arrive all casual at the mansion and then become surprised

Shifter Justice

Selwyn’s POV I watched as my baby sister and Connie walked out of the library. I took a few moments to calm down my lycan, who was fighting for his freedom, inside my mind. I had to remain calm in order to gather information that I would need to kill Frank. I slowly made my way to the dungeon knowing that Willix was taking this time to have his chat with the fae bastard. When I walked inside the dungeon I saw Willix had hung Scott up by his shackles on the wall. Rod, Mack, and Thomas were standing to the side watching as Willix inflicted pain on the fae Prince. Willix delivered one final punch to Scott’s stomach and backed away turning to smirk at me. “ My King the prisoner is all yours. He is refusing to give us any information about Frank.” Willix said to me as he moved to stand next to Rod. “ Is that so? Well I guess then if he won’t talk, there is no reason to let him keep breathing.” I growled out as I stepped in front of my prey. Scott’s eyes were huge and fear leaked out of h

The Great Escape

Rain’s POV I awoke startled and sore. I felt a small ripple in my magic and quickly checked on my sleeping dragon Reya. My precious dragon was still softly snoring in the back of my mind. I gazed around the dungeon and noticed that my parents and the elder wolves were still asleep. I wasn’t sure what the ripple in my magic meant but I needed to use the energy from Crissy to get us out of here this morning. I had no idea what time it was but it felt very early. I used a small amount of magic to see if Frank was upstairs or not. Lucky for us he wasn’t in the house. I quietly teleported myself out of my cell and walked to the cat man’s cell. He was wide awake and looking uncomfortable in all those chains. I looked deep into his yellow eyes and knew that he was going to be a huge help to me. I knew I would save him at any cost along with the others. I had promised him I would and I always kept my word. I teleported inside his cell and walked close to him and leaned next to his ear sa
