After shedding tears for a while, Boma managed to put herself together and sat down on the immaculately tiled floor. It felt cold because of the air-conditioning.At the same time, the burning ache on her bum intensified, so she quickly rose to her feet. Her eyes scanned the ornately decorated bedroom. She was looking for nothing in particular. She had nothing to do and had no choice but to observe her environment.Nothing in the fancy decor interested her. She wanted to return to her hostel but she knew she was stuck there. Slowly, she let herself wander around the room. She saw his engineering kits stacked neatly on a large table. His books occupied a shelf with enough room left for more books. His timetable was plastered on the wall before his reading table.Several pictures of him posing with his friends were on the wall. There was a family portrait with him, a little girl and boy of about 10 who had his eyes and a pretty girl around sixteen or maybe eighteen. This one had brown ey

Donovan watched her, observing her fear as he kept beckoning her forward."Boma," he said."Yes.""Come here."Boma remained still, frozen by fear."I said come here.""Are you angry?" She couldn't tell. A dark glint in his eyes made her suspect that he was.The confusion scared her more than the assurance. It would have been better if he clearly showed his anger. At least, that way, she would have an idea of what to expect."I'm not angry. Just come closer." He urged. She shook her head. "I didn't mean to say... I didn't mean to say what I just said.""Draw closer, Boma. Don't make me repeat that." His tone was stern now.She carefully scooted herself close to him, struggling to control the storm of jitters rising within her."Now, repeat what you just said to me a few seconds ago.""I said that... that if you're free to see others, then I am also free to... to do the same," she stuttered."I see. And here I was thinking I probably didn't hear you correctly."Her breathing became fast

His lips met her neck, kissing, sucking, and licking. His fingers gently caressed her ears. Surprisingly, she started to feel pleasant sensations dancing across her skin. He gently nipped the smooth skin of her neck with his teeth, and a soft moan escaped her lips. Before she could dwell on the shame that flooded her as a result of the moan, he claimed her lips with a kiss. She closed her mouth, pressing her lips together to fight off his kiss. His mouth came to her ear immediately, and his hoarse voice filled her ear with a whisper."I don't expect you to respond to my kiss. After all, you don't even know how to kiss properly, but I expect you to keep your lips steady and available for me. Do it now."She obeyed and released her lips."Good girl," he praised and claimed them again with a gentle kiss. He gently nipped at her bottom lip, brushing his lips against hers, teasing the surface until finally, he invaded and started exploring her mouth with his tongue. He stopped when a slight

Donovan left her alone in the room, where she lay tense on the bed, waiting for his return. As time passed with no sign of him, she eventually drifted off to sleep. In the morning, she woke to his hand gently stroking her face."Good morning, sleepyhead," he greeted cheerfully."Morning," she replied tersely, her tone betraying her reluctance to reciprocate the warmth. He didn't seem bothered, planting a kiss on her forehead."Get up. We need to eat breakfast prepared by my girl," he said casually.Boma didn't like the implication of his words. "I need to go home," she stated firmly."Home or hostel?" he asked, his tone neutral."Hostel," she replied without hesitation."Good. Your hostel isn't your home," he remarked."I know, but it's where I stay here in school," she explained."Don't we all feel that way about wherever we stay concerning this school?" he commented."So it's not a problem if I call it home, right? Since you agree?" she replied."No, it's not. But I got what I wanted

"Shut the hell up!" the girl shouted, dragging Boma's hair violently."Abigail, stop that!" Abigail spat at Boma."Stop it!" Donovan warned her again."No. She's a fucking whore!"The insults pierced Boma. Her move was so swift and unexpected that both Abigail and Donovan were stunned.Abigail landed on the ground on her side. Boma seized the moment of her helplessness, sitting on her and raining slaps and blows on her face.Abigail screamed in pain. "Get off me!" she cried out. "Get off me, you whore. "Maybe you should just turn back time," Boma mumbled."What did you say?" Donovan questioned darkly. She looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. "Maybe you should just turn back time," she repeated with a cry."What do you mean by that?" he demanded, his brows furrowing deeply."You brought this upon me. This would never have happened if you had not forced me into your life."His face registered fury. "I chose you as mine and that is that. You will cease to complain about this issue. Do you understand me?"Even though she was frightened, she decided to speak out in resistance. Her chin lifted with defiance as she stared at him.He ignored her defiant look. "I said, do you understand me?" he repeated."I do not accept it. I never really did, so let me go now. Release me. I-I don't—I don't—" her voice began to waver horribly as he began unleashing his belt."Keep talking." He said, folding it in half."I don't-I don't-" she began, but paused as he took a step forward. At this point, she

She had no choice but to sit down, doing so slowly, already sniffling softly in anticipation of the pain. A biting pain stung her bottom as she settled into the chair. Tears welled up in her eyes, slipping down her face. Donovan prepared a plate with bread slices and some omelet, then poured tea from the flask and set it before her. "Start eating," he commanded, his expression stoic. The others at the table were already eating, seemingly oblivious to her plight. However, Phillip gave her a pitiful look. Even in her state, she sensed his sympathy. She remembered their interaction when he had opened the door while she was locked in Donovan's room. He had a rough exterior but seemed to possess some gentleness beneath it. Their eyes met briefly before Phillip shifted his gaze and focused on his food. She picked up the bread with shaky hands. She had no appetite. Sniffling tearfully, she took a hesitant bite. Donovan hissed impatiently, startling her further. Tears continued to flow d

In class, Boma focused intently as the lecturer analyzed Gabriel Okara's "Little Snake and Little Frog."Boma reflected on the story: The two friends, the little snake and little frog, whose friendship was disrupted when their mothers discovered each other's child. The snake's mother advised it to eat the frog, while the frog's mother warned it to stay away from the snake to avoid becoming prey. Both creatures heeded their mothers' warnings, and despite the snake's attempts to lure the frog back with claims of friendship, the frog remained cautious, echoing, "What your mother told you, my mother also told me."Boma admired the simplicity and wisdom in the frog's response. She yearned for such straightforward guidance in her predicament. Perhaps her parents' advice could similarly guide her, but she hesitated to involve them and cause them to worry.Boma struggled to ignore the menacing glares from Queen, Tracy, and Bella whenever she dared to glance in their direction. Despite her fear
