Challenging Gauis
Chapter 71. KadenI looked outside the bay window by side, watching the vast exposed of the pack lit up by the torches that were placed almost everywhere. Seeing things like this made my heart warm because it showed that everybody was ready to defend the Pack and deal with the enemies that tried to plague us with all sorts of attacks. We were preparing for the war against Alpha Dennison and the witches. We were leaving tonight, and the preparation, therefore, was in full swing. I was still damn angry at what he had done to me and I was ready to make him pay horribly for the things he had done. This was just going to be an introductory anticholinergic compared to what others would face if they tried doing anything to disturb the free flow of the activities in my Pack. I grabbed my sword from the table where I had placed it, brandished it to check its sharpness before carefully putting it in its sheath. I couldn't wait to get to Dennison, the fact that you never saw hi

Chapter 72. ReeneMy mouth widened in shock at the sight before me. The whole crowd gasped and so did my mother. Kaden quickly turned back into his human form, a bit of a smirk on his lips. "Let's go!" He said before he began walking towards us. I watched the headless figure of Gaius still sprawled there on the ground. I couldn't speak to him because it must have been a very hard time for him. The fact that Gaius was somebody he once looked up to as a father figure must be very painful as he had killed him. I felt an inner turmoil because of the empathy he must be feeling at the moment. Without hesitation, I quickly followed him and we all walked out of the arena. The whole place was still in shock and everybody was still rooted to their spot, except for the guards who were moving towards the corpse of the old man to get him ready to be buried. As soon as we were out of the amphitheatre, I couldn't help but approach him immediately. I knew it must be a hard time

Challenge 3
Chapter 73 KadenThe battle between ring and Alpha Dennison continued to rage on, and somehow it seemed to transcend time itself. I was very tense with what was going on because sometimes Alpha Denison seemed to be winning, but soon enough she got the upper hand and began dealing with him. That was the only thing I enjoyed seeing. Everyone behind me was equally worried about what the outcome of the battle between the two arch enemies was going to be. "Do you think we made the right choice by allowing her to fight Alpha Denison?" I asked, looking back at Aurel who didn't look quite satisfied by what he was seeing. The sight of him looking at the battle that way made my heart jump. "Of course not, Kaden." He replied, seemingly absent minded. "I know the vengeance she seeks won't let her lose. She will come out victorious. I can feel it." He said, before flashing me a smile. I looked back at Königin Zemirah. There was no doubt that she was aching deeply inside. T

Thank you, for being you
Chapter 74. KadenThe physician arrived immediately and after a few treatments, he asked me to carry her into one of the tents that had been made behind the battle zone. I quickly carried her and we all headed to the tents. However, something unexpected happened. The remaining witches tried to attack us and block our path. Reene rushed upfront to intervene but they all began to die one after the other, cracking and turning to dust in the air. The sight made me shocked but I carried on with what I was supposed to do at the moment and that was getting her to the tent where the physician would carry out the rest of the treatment. I prayed the blade was a normal one. Some people, especially the paranormal ones, like witches liked to have their blades cursed so that it would ultimately kill whoever it was used on no matter the treatment or magic that was employed to counter it. The thought that that could be possible made me worried, but I kept down my fears and decided

Aftermath of the War
Chapter 75. ReeneIt was already a year since the war had ended and we had been living in peace ever since, but there was still a problem. The shadow of the battle still loomed large over Hezen. My mother had not woken up ever since. It was a very sad time for us but we still hoped that one day, she would wake up and come back to us. My worst fear that the blade had magical properties might have been right after all. I wished she had finished off her evil sister right away rather than leaving her to die. Meanwhile, the witches had no queen, and the void left by her absence needed to be filled since nobody had an idea when she would be back, not even the physician could do anything this time. He just had to make sure that she stayed alive while we prayed something would happen soon. I still remember vividly during the first few weeks how heavily worried I was, how I cried myself to sleep most of the time as I thought about her. But as it turned into months and n

Aftermath of the War 2
Chapter 76. Reene Sitting by the window side, I stared into the moonlit night. It was a full moon so the Pack was as bright as day. The landscapes and the gentle play of the moon beam seemed to make the longing in my heart even more profound. I still thought about my mother, despite the fact that it had been a very long time. My heart still twitched painful each time I thought about her. I couldn't couldn't but wonder if I should should on hoping or do away with it. It was troubling me, eating me from within and I couldn't do anything about it. On some occasions, I had sneaked into the room where she was lying and tried to perform some magic to revive her, but it was all a failure. My powers did nothing. It wasn't so surprising, considering the fact that her sister was a big witch. Alpha Aurel was always on his own these days, he seemed better off not having anyone around him. Just as I was thinking about my mother, the door to my room creaked open and Kade

She's pregnant
Chapter 77 Kaden The events that followed Königin Zemirah's awakening was a discreet celebration in the Packhousе. Everybody was about themselves with joy and nobody believed we were all going to wait this long before she woke up. Alpha Aurel's smiles and happiness which had dampened seemed to resurrect instantly, and he no longer went about with a cloud above his brow. He looked genuinely happy these days. Since she was back now, our joy was complete. It meant we had lost nobody during the great battle that saw a lot of our enemies die. We had gone out the next day for a run in the woods and Reene had come along, not wanting to be left behind. The forest was awash in the soft and silvery glow of the moon. Reene, detlef and I had gathered at a small cabin in the woods, and in front of the cabin was a vast clearing that went as far as the eyes could go. It was just the perfect spot for our night run. The anticipation in the air was almost tangible. I could feel i

To become an Alpha
Chapter 78. ReeneI squinted, trying to block the fierce rays of the sun that burned brightly from the window. I turned the other way, groaning and wrapping my hands around him. The soft light that shone into the room gave off a warm glow on the room. Kaden and I were wrapped around each other, cuddling and relishing the warmth that we not provided. We were still cuddling when a knock sounded on the door. I knew who was there before Kaden got up to answer the door. I could sense my mother's aura immediately. Kaden immediately walked towards the door and opened it. They strode in, looking very serious and seemed to have something important to say to us. I forced myself up from the bed, feeling a dull pain on my back. The pain had been there since I came back from the Pack hospital. I couldn't help but sense that something bad was going to come out of this. I only had to wait and find out what was going on. "Good morning, mother." I greeted, smiling as I got up an

Back to Krypton pack
Chapter 79 Kaden The D-day came a week later. And we were on our way back to Germany. The airport was bustling with a lot of activities as our departure from the Hezen Pack gradually came to a close. There was a bit of nostalgia in the air as we left the place, it reminded me of something, something I couldn't quiet grasp. I couldn't tell if it was some sort of Deja vu or if it was the petrichor-like smell in the air. But for some reason I felt quite happy and fulfilled. The memories of the battles we had won as a team came running in and out of my mind. The death of Denniosn and that of the other witches, it all made me very fulfilled. At least they wouldn't be facing any sort of danger except occasional rogues that trespassed the boundary or those who were strong enough to fight the guards at the boundary. A smile escaped my lips as I thought about all our exploits as a family, I couldn't be any happier. I looked back, and caught sight of my loved ones who were aro

Alpha Reene
Chapter 80. Reene“You good, babe?” Kaden asked yet again. I nodded, in response. The journey to the Redwood Pack was quite an uneventful one but there was no doubt it was filled with excitement and a bit of apprehension. I kept staring out the window, as I battled with my thoughts about the angst of the future. My overhanging and spiked emotions were all because of my pregnancy hormones and the memories of my past life. They still came back to haunt me even though it had happened a long time ago. I had always wished there was a way to wash off those memories from my head but it was practically impossible especially when I had to remember what my mission was, eliminating Alpha Dennison and getting back my life. I was glad that I was able to get through that phase and now I was going through the peripherals, I thought. Things that were just there to give more meaning to my life. A week had already passed since Kaden and I returned from Hezen. Everything was going r
