Chapter 11

ADRIAN'S POVThe ignorant fool attacked me from behind and sank his claws into both of my shoulders. I clutched my shoulders and groaned in pain – I immediately regretted the decision I took to wait until he attacked me first. I should have attacked first, and now I am paying the price. I stood up straight and stopped whimpering like a baby.I'll take my time to deal with this fool because I needed to burn off some steam – thinking about Eva had made me furious. I swiftly turned to face the guy who attacked me and I laughed when I saw the face of who just attacked me. Guess what – it was an Omega!! Can you imagine it? A mere Omega?? Where did his loyalty to Alphas go? Was he crazy?? The more I thought about it the more it made me laugh and I couldn't stop myself. The young lad just stood there and stared at me in a confused state. I'm sure that he was wondering why I was laughing so hard. I shook my head from side to side whilst grinning. I pitied the young lad but to my greatest surp

Chapter 12

ADRIAN'S POV I was utterly shocked when I saw Eva walk out the tower room – she was the last person that I was expecting to see at that time. My eyes widened, I thought I was hallucinating so I used both my hands to rub my eyes but she was still standing there — it was real, I wasn't hallucinating. Trust me to flub – in less than five minutes I had already forgotten the promise I made to myself about not letting Eva distract me. I recalled all the silly thoughts I had in my head concerning her and I was losing it. Looking at her lips without not being to taste them was driving me nuts and causing my heartbeat to accelerate. "Adrian?? What are you doing here??" Eva called out and jolted me back to reality. Thank goodness she said something otherwise I would have started to drool because of how I kept my mouth agape, staring at her. I closed my mouth but I didn't look away – I couldn't stop staring at her. I didn't answer her because so many thoughts were running through my head at t

Chapter 13

ALPHA JACK'S POVAdrenaline coursed through my veins as I ran as fast as I could to the tower room. Keeping my breathing steady, I pushed harder and went faster – if anything were to happen to Eva, I would never forgive myself. I tried to get there faster but I was being delayed by warriors who wouldn't just let me be. I fought several enemies on my way though I made sure to brutally end their life without wasting much time.Facing forward, I began to sprint again. Honestly, I was running so fast that I thought my legs were going to explode. When I eventually got to the tunnel leading to the tower room, I stopped for a while to catch my breath – running and fighting at the time wasn't as easy as I thought and my age was beginning to tell on me.I huffed and puffed as I leaned on the wall for support – I had not run this fast for a very long time. As I was still trying to catch my breath and regain control, I heard someone scream out in pain. "Eva??!!" I abruptly stood up and called ou

Chapter 14

ADRIAN'S POVThe weather was extremely cold that morning. I got up at five a.m. not because I wanted to but because I had to. I'm not a morning person so I hated waking up early – I don't do early at all. I stretched my body and yawned, then I stood up from the armchair I had slept in and went out for a small walk to stretch my legs because my legs were cramped up.As I stepped out of Eva's house, I began to shiver with cold because an extremely cold wind was blowing – the cold was piercing. My hands and feet were numbed with cold. My nose began to run and my ears were as cold as ice. I was chilled to the marrow and my legs became stiff and cold. I changed my mind about taking a walk and went back inside.I had spent my night at Eva's house. After all that happened last night, I couldn't go back home and I also couldn't fulfil the promise I had made to my father. Damn, I'm sure that he would be feeling very disappointed in me. The old man would say that he was right, that I wasn't rea

Chapter 15

EVA'S POVMy body ached as I laid on the bare ground bleeding profusely after Adrian, the guy whom I called the love of my life, dug his claws into my stomach, in an attempt to kill me. At first, I couldn't believe that he would do anything like that – I never for once thought that he would end up hurting me so badly. I knew that we were not on good terms because of the break up and all that had been happening but …… well, I don't know what to say, I'm short of words. The asphalt was cold and hard on my back. I laid down there as I felt life slipping away from me. I was trying so hard to keep breathing but it wasn't easy – whenever I took a breath, I felt severe pain. "Is this how I am gonna die?? On a bare ground?? Like an ordinary person?? Fuvk!!" I wondered as I struggled to keep my eyes open. I was praying for someone to walk in and save me cause I didn't want to die, at least not yet and not like this – there was so much I still had to do.I gave up and eventually shut my eyes. I

Chapter 16

EVA'S POVAs the sun began to peek through the windows, I slowly opened my eyes to see that it was morning already. I yawned and stretched my arms above my head, taking a moment to bask in the warmth of my cozy bed. I rolled over and glanced at the alarm clock on my nightstand, surprised to see that it was already 9:00 a.m. 9??? Woah!! I was planning on waking up early that morning but I guess that I didn't plan well enough, maybe next time.I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of my bed, planting my feet firmly on the soft carpet beneath me. The last couple of days have been rough for me. I woke up each day feeling dizzy with a piercing pain in my stomach but this morning felt different. I was feeling so much better – no piercing pain and no dizziness, I felt fine.As I stood up and made my way over to the window, I looked outside and smiled at the bright blue sky and the warm rays of sunlight that were streaming into my room. I couldn't help but notice a group of people huddled

Chapter 17

EVA'S POVMy father had taken away the little piece of hope that I had left and I don't know how I am going to deal with it. Damn it!!! I miss Adrian. I miss him so much. How do I move on? How can I ever be truly happy again?? How can I forget about the memories we both had together?? Damn, my father!!!After I had learned of what my father did to Adrian and his pack, I couldn't be myself anymore. For several days, I lay in my bed, refusing to eat or drink anything – not even my mother's meal was able to make me eat. My once bright eyes had dulled and my skin had taken on a pale and sickly appearance. I barely spoke to anyone, and whenever I managed to say something it was in a whisper so quiet that it was very difficult to hear.I knew that my family and friends were worried about me, as they had never seen me like this before. They tried everything they could to get me to eat or drink, but nothing ever seemed to work. They even begged me to see a healer, but I blatantly refused. I m

Chapter 18

EVA'S POVAs the partygoers in the bar began to filter out of the door one after the other, I couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness wash over me. I had to force a smile and laugh at all the right moments with my newly found friends after Zayn left, but inside I felt hollow. My friends took me back home and bid me farewell. I didn't know if they would drop by to see me again but I wished that they would someday. I had a good time though and I liked it. I went upstairs to my room to rest because I was exhausted from all the laughing and talking. So I quickly took a shower and put on my nightwear. "What a day!!" I thought to myself and sighed as I made my way to the window, staring out at the night lights as they twinkled in the distance. The streets were so empty and quiet and it made me feel incredibly alone. As I looked out, memories of how I used to sneak out to see Adrian flooded my mind. I remembered the thrill of it all, the feeling of his lips on mine, and the warmth of his

Chapter 19

EVA'S POVI lay on my bed with tears streaming down my face. I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that had taken over my heart. Last night made me realize that I still have feelings for Adrian no matter how hard I have been trying to get him off my mind and move on with my life. I don't know if I will ever be able to forget him. What's this?? What's all this??!! Was it a sin to fall in love?? Fuvk this!! Fuvk love!! Fuvk Adrian!!"Why did he leave me? I thought we were in love with each other. Why did he try to kill me?? What did I do wrong?? What happened to the promises that we made to each other???" I thought to myself as I cried out to the empty room. "I need you back Adrian, I miss your touch, your scent, your everything."For hours I lay on my bed and cried my eyes out as I couldn't shake the feeling of longing and despair that consumed me. Eventually, my crying slowly subsided and I fell into a fitful sleep when I felt the strangest thing happen to me. I had always known t

Chapter 20

TARA'S POVThe cool evening air was a refreshing change from the sweltering heat of the day. The sun had just set, casting a golden glow over the horizon. The sky was painted with hues of pink, orange, and purple, like a watercolor painting, coming to life. The streets were quiet, with only a few cars and bicycles passing by. The leaves of the trees rustled gently in the breeze, casting flickering shadows on the pavement and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. Birds chirped and sang their evening songs, and the distant hum of crickets could be heard.I sat on my porch and took a deep breath, savoring the cool, crisp air as I watched my best friend Eva walk out of my house and disappear down the street. Eva was looking so dejected and it bothered me. I couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness that washed over me. I knew that something was wrong with Eva, and I needed to do something to help her. I needed to look for a way to help Eva even though I was paid to b
