Chapter 111. Worst dream

Gwen's POVI woke up with a heavy heart and a cold sweat on my forehead and neck in the middle of my bed.The dream was so real that even though I knew it would not happen, it still seemed like a memory. I had a hard time believing that all those moments were just a dream. That all was a bad sign, but not a good one. "Gwen?""She's awake!".I could hear the voices of my sister calling out my name until my parents emerged in the doorway of the room. I felt relief when I saw them though I did not want them to see me like this. Not when they already have such a hard time accepting everything that had transpired to us.My mother smiled at me when she saw me sitting on my bed. "How's your feeling?" she asked. She looked tired, her eyes swollen. She must have been crying. "Better." I lied. The words tasted bitter on my tongue. I don't feel well emotionally again, but I can tell I am fine physically since the pain is gone already. After an awkward silence, my father said, "Come on, Gwen.

Chapter 112. Last life

Gwen's POV Two hours have gone by since we'd gotten back to the house. Alpha Ace informed everyone about what had transpired, and we brought the piece of clothing to ensure that this belonged to Matt. We showed it to my family, and I was right because even they could still vividly remember how Matt clad himself in this cloth. A burning rage replaced my dried tears, and I tried to quell it before losing control. My body trembled in frustration and fury. I am standing outside the house while the Aqua Rune Pack and Alpha are discussing our next steps. I knew they would have more than one opinion of me, and I badly wanted that, not now that my heart was torn apart. The Aqua Rune Pack was not just composed of Alpha, Omega, and Beta. There were many subgroups which are called the Clans, and there were also some other smaller Packs that joined us. Unfortunately, not all of them are aware of my identity as a silver. While I was in deep thought, a loud screeching sound made my head sna

Chapter 113. The proposition

Matt's POVI woke up to the sound of annoying laughter coming from somewhere nearby. I opened my eyes and caught gloomy surroundings, unusual things around me, and strange creatures that kept gawking at me like I was some kind of alien. My hand was tied above my head with heavy chains, and my feet were tied together tightly. It didn't help that my wrists were chafing so much that they stung, making it hard for me to breathe correctly. And yes.I was abducted by five creatures in a human form clad in a black cloak. I had no idea what kind of creature they were because I'd never seen or heard about them. I scrutinized the entire surrounding, filled with a bowl of blood. I could sense it, and honestly too much to handle, and I started breathing heavily as if someone had just poured acid on me and made it go through my whole body slowly.Suddenly the hooded figures appeared from out of nowhere. He walked slowly towards me and took my chin forcefully, forcing me to look straight into hi

Chapter 114. Aragon

I was brooding the entire day about the proposition, but I who he was aside from being a vampire. He didn't even dare to introduce himself to me. The day rolled up with curiosity, but I don't know why I ever felt any more fear since he declared his offer, which I find reasonable in the other side of me. "How are you, Matt? I am guessing you have a perfect answer now," a voice behind me interrupted my musings. "So, what is your final answer, Matt?" "You expect me to agree with you? Seriously? How can I trust you? You can't even introduce yourself to me." "Call me Aragon. That's what they call me." "Why do you keep going back to a place where no one treats you right and makes you feel like garbage? Why don't you just go back to a place where someone is inclined to uphold you, to accept you and cast you an extraordinary power that no one has ever been able to achieve," he elucidated. His eyes were glowing as he talked with this enthusiasm. "And if I tell you why I'm here, will you b

Every time I recollected our memories together, it always brought up fresh tears that would fall from my eyes and I didn't even bother wiping them away. I just wanted to relish everything even if that means torturing myself with the fact that it was just a memory that will not be able to happen again. Chapter 117. Where is he?

Gwen's POVIt was early in the morning when I woke up and got up from bed to start my day. I glanced at my side only to see that Alpha wasn't here with me. Soon as my gaze diverted to the bedside table next to where I was lying on it I could see a glass of water sitting there along with a note written in her messy cursive. 'Good morning. You must have been tired since you first encountered the real life of a silver werewolf, so I didn't wake you up. You've done so many things for us and me. It's my turn, my luna. I love you.'I gasped lightly feeling a lump form in the back of my throat before wiping away my tears. I sat up and grabbed the glass of water and gulped it down without hesitation. After putting the empty glass back on the side table.Where did he go?I walked out and went to the kitchen downstairs. "Good morning, sweetheart." mom approached and kissed me on the forehead. Gwen's POVHere I am outside the house, conversing with my allies. The Aqua Rune Pack, fairies, witches, and the other subordinates who support us in this messy journey of mine. This ability was given to only a few creatures and despite its advantage of it, I can't help but feel guilty especially with the fact that this ability failed to save my sister. For the very first time in my history, I felt like mucky trash because of that. But all I could do to make my sister happy was to keep fighting and be the best version of myself. While we were occupied chatting with one another, one of the fairies floated in the air as if she needs to convey important matters."Another battle will soon break out between us and vampires" she began. "We need to be vigilant."I was stunned to hear those declarations and another pang struck me in the chest.

I closed my eyes and waited. After the briefest second had passed I felt someone's hand taking mine and guiding me. "Don't open unless I say so.""Sure."We stopped moving for about ten seconds. Some noises echoed around us in the air. The sound of a peaceful night where birds chirped at the moon's reflection off the calm lake water. My eyes were still closed but my lips curled into a moon crescent."Now, open your eyes."My eyes immediately opened. We were no longer standing outside the house. Instead, we were standing in a place completely different from anything I'd ever seen. It looked like we were in an underground cavern or a cave under a rock somewhere. Everything seemed extremely bright as if a light bul
