Ava's POV The sun rays filtered into the room resting on my face and I forced my eyes open. I got up to a sitting position on the bed and noticed Skye was not beside me. Skye's POV I panicked when Natasha came to tell me about the ice breaking off the lake. I rushed towards the scene. On getting there, I saw Ava holding the little boy's hand and then letting go as she dived to the other side of the lake. Ava's POV I stirred in my sleep having a feeling that the warmth beside me was gone. I opened my eyes sheepishly and truly Skye was no longer beside me. I yawned and stretched lazily as I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I splashed water on my face. I was looking different. I was not looking like a teenager but a full grown woman. Skye had spoiled me and did I have regrets? I had no idea. Did I fail my mother by not avenging her death? I wondered. Maybe I did. Ava's POV Skye and I saw barely of each other since the night he professed his love to me. He became extremely busy with the political affairs of the pack. He was either in one meeting or the other and when he returns, he was always drunk and ended up falling asleep by my side and up the next morning before I awake. I walked down the stairs thinking of seeing uncle and the pack when I saw him coming out of his study room. "Good morning," I said for the first time in six months.
