Earlier, Ophelia, Lewis, Jasper, and his two brothers thought they were taking the path to the seashore and had not the slightest they were running into the territory of the were-cannibals. Were-cannibals were powerful, Lewis and the rest of the men had tried to fight, surrounding Ophelia to protect her, but the were-cannibals were numerous and the more they fought them, the more they came from the bushes.
