Author's POV..."Read this!" Alpha Logan commanded, throwing the squeezed sheet of paper to Beta Simon. The latter wondered what must have gone wrong as he had never seen Alpha Logan in such an angry state before.  What could possibly be written on the squeezed sheet of paper?  Simon slowly picked up the squeezed paper on the floor since he couldn't catch it.  He straightened it and began reading silently.  His eyes widened in awe as he got to the middle of the letter. "Who…"  Alpha Logan interrupted him immediately.  "Finish reading it before you utter any word!" Alpha Logan's POV…"You know many of us never supported the decision to keep her alive as your slave. Now look what she has done; she escaped and took most of your valuable things." Elder Marcus articulated. I bit my lower lips slightly. Nothing can be hidden under the sun; the news of what Alexa did spread around like wildfire among the pack members. The news got to the hearing of the elders, and a meeting was summoned. Alexa didn't just steal my precious necklace. Some valuable items were missing from my room, and I immediately knew it was her handiwork. How could she have done something so terrible? It was the least I expected; I never for once imagined Alexa could elope or steal. She looked so innocent and harmless, like a dove. Why did I even soften to her in the first place? Alexa's POV... I felt unsettled as I moved from one end of the room to another, still unable to process what Alpha Carl revealed to me; it was just too unbelievable.  Why should I even trust him? I had asked myself, but at the same time, I asked myself how I got to Alpha Carl's pack all of a sudden. After Alpha Carl left, I sluggishly had to drag myself back to the room I was offered.  It's still unbelievable that Alpha Logan sold me. I felt shattered, I thought he was beginning to soften towards me, but he just showed his real intentions.  I can't stay with Alpha Carl; I will become his property and will have to obey all his commands and wishes, including warming his bed, whether I like it or not.  I felt really betrayed after being sold; it's disheartening.  Since they are best friends, I wondered if Beta Simon knew about

Alexa's POV... It was finally morning when I stood up and pulled the curtains to make the room appear brighter. The brightness affected my sight so much that I had to close my eyes.  I sat down on the bed after light entered the room through the window.  "Hey, Good morning. Why didn't you sleep all night when you had a comfy and soft bed to lay on? Opportunity comes but once, so you should grab this one now. We can never tell what might happen in the next few minutes." Kim suggested, and I clicked my tongue.  Must she be annoying at all times?  "It's too early to start vomiting nonsense, so you should keep your mouth sealed," I warned, and she went shut immediately. "Better!" A sudden migraine hit me hard, reminding me that I didn't sleep last night.  Yeah, I was unable to sleep last night.  

Logan's POV...  "Don't believe him. He is lying against me." A feminine voice protested, and I looked back immediately. I was surprised to see Kara standing a few meters away from where Beta Simon and I stood.  Has she been eavesdropping on our conversation?  "Kara, how long have you been standing there?" I asked, but she glared hatefully at Simon, who also returned the glares.  I guess these two can never be at peace with each other. They are always quarrelling or fighting.  "Why did you hate me so much that you keep lying against me? What did I ever do to you?" Kara yelled, advancing towards Simon. "Stop it, Kara, and answer me," I ordered, and she eyed me angrily. "Stop telling me to stop! I can't stand it when I am accused. What did I ever do to him that he keeps lying against me? He keeps accusing me for no reason; he should just let me know why!"
