Alexa's POV... "How's your arm?" The doctor asked, making me snap out of my thoughts. I gave him a fake smile."I'm getting better now," I replied. My eyes met Alpha Logan's, and I quickly shifted my gaze away.Yes, he is the reason I am deep in thought. What the hell was he doing here? Why was he always coming to my room? This isn't the first time.I don't know if he thought I was going to inject myself. Is that why he is always coming to check me up? It's weird how he was always making things difficult for me!Now I can't even be comfortable in my own room again. He was the one who asked me to keep my eyes away from his, yet he had been staring at me directly since the minute he walked into this room.Selena, where are you? I wondered as I kept shifting my eyes left and right. I want to have my time in my room, so the doctor can come alone. Why does he have to tag along? Before, he would come over with beta Simon, but today, he has come a

Author's POV...Kara walked back to her room alone, with different thoughts flowing in and out of her head. Having already sent the maids, who have been hovering around her throughout the day like flies, she needed some time to think alone and devise a plan. She was greatly irked, and Alexa was why she felt that way. The thought of Alexa being alive troubled her, and the thought of her dirty secrets getting leaked out also disturbed her.Even Alpha Logan suspects her, and they will be involving the pack investigator soon.'I wish I could just send her to the land of the dead right now!' Kara thought silently, imagining evil scenes in her head.'I remain Kara, and nobody can ever bring me down!' She muttered, smiling wickedly. 'If I don't have you, Alpha Logan, no one else will. The Luna position of the Red Lotus pack belongs to me, and I won't allow any motherfucker to snatch what belongs to me. Never!' Kara swore. If someone were to pass by and see how she was behaving, they woul

Alexa's POV...My thoughts kept running as I stayed in my room, staring out the window, bored. I remembered how Alpha Logan had acted that day when the doctor left us alone in the room. Kim had also confirmed it. Alpha Logan's wolf made her feel like she was getting closer to her mate, and that didn't only happen to Kim; it happened to me as well.I felt it when Alpha Logan came very close to me; I thought he was going to kiss me. Whenever I think of it, my heart still skips a beat. I almost died that day.l had to stop my mind from thinking in that direction because I didn't know if I should be happy or worried about it.Yes, he is my mate, but he has a fiance, so it's useless to build whatsoever thoughts already. He wasn't going to kiss me; he was only checking my injured arm, which had fully healed.Besides, I don't want to be with a person that would tell me to look into his eyes today and tomorrow, I shouldn't, or he would be sweet and kind

Author's POV. Selena returned to Alexa's room only to find it empty. She couldn't find Alexa anywhere."Alexa?" she called"Alexa!" But there was still no reply. Alexa was nowhere to be found. She went into the bathroom, but she couldn't find her. She went out to ask the guards, only to realize that she had not seen them since she came in. That was scaring because Alpha Logan had personally instructed the guards to ensure that Alexa didn't leave the room. Selena began to panic, thinking Alexa had been kidnapped or something even worse."Did someone come in here?" She wondered. In fear, she called again and again. "Alexa! Alexa! Where are you? Don't do this to me. Can you please come out? You're scaring me!" she continued to yell as she began to cry because no one answered. She ran out of the room, making her way to the court halls. She was in a panic, but she decided she would inform Alpha Logan at once. She kn

Alexa's POV…"Did you know that you just lied to me in the face, a whole Alpha?" My heart skipped as Alpha Logan asked me.How did he know I wasn't telling the truth? Is he a wizard, or did Kara already tell him what she did?I decided to keep the truth from him and wait to hear what he had to say next. It wasn't my intention to lie to him, but I had to keep it a secret to avoid complicating things.Would he even believe me if I told him that Kara was responsible? I am also sure that she was the one who sent a maid to inject me with poison. How worse can she be?"I am telling the truth; the person's face wasn't clear. I was taken unawares." I replied, trying not to stutter."Look at me in the eyes and tell me that," he requested. My heart began slamming rapidly in my chest. How can I do that? I will end up confessing everything to him if I stare at those gorgeous eyes of his. I will get drawn to him, and I don't
