This is the story set in a universe where the Werewolves rule over the planet and the humans are their slaves. The Werewolves have left only half of the human population. Some of them were killed and some turned and took their places in the packs all around the world. The humans work and pay their taxes to the Alpha of their country. The Alphas are what kings were to humans. The Werewolf hierarchy is as follows:Each kingdom is ruled by an Alpha, Usually, the Alpha title is passed on from generation to generation but if someone from the lower ranks dares to challenge the Alpha to a duel, a fight to death, and can show his dominance and his strength then he would be declared as the new Alpha. The Alpha’s right-hand man or ‘the false Alpha’ is the Beta - the second in command. Can replace the Alpha in case they are not around. Beta’s acts as the advisor and the only person with whom the Alpha maintains direct contact.A bond between the Alpha and its Beta is stronger than blood. Betas he

The mansion was decorated with fresh flowers and white twinkling lights. The Alpha had gone to the Benjamin Hall to check how the decorations were done and I, being his bodyguard, had followed him.The hall looked like something out of a fairytale. Twilinking lights, white and red flowers surrounded the whole hall’s perimeter and the staircase. There were chairs and tables set at one corner, and at another a buffet was being set up. Men and women were hard at work. And they were all human. The way they had decorated this place was extraordinary. I fell in love with it. I tried to not break my composure of a man and a bodyguard, but the beautiful room had me smiling in awe. I could only imagine how it would look like at night when all the candles would be lit up.Bodyguards and soldiers were to be stationed outside the hall. Humans except for human women who were partaking in the Ball were strictly prohibited. Only fifty human slaves served at the ball excluding the five musicians. And

(TRIGGER WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS HARASSMENT, STRONG LANGUAGE, BLOOD,VIOLENCE ETC READERS DISCRETION ADVISED)The room was cold. It was a nice, tiny room with just a bed. I couldn’t change here, not when I felt unsafe and unfamiliar. Plus seeing the Alpha like this I felt even more anxious. He was hurt and it was my job to protect him. I failed.I sat on the edge of the bed, with my boots still on. I felt uneasy for some reason. Maybe I should go out and walk? It was almost two in the night, the sky was pitch black. Without a second thought I decided to go out. The Mansion was quiet and this helped me slip away easily. The Alpha was probably asleep by now. The woman was probably taking care of the Alpha. That was good, he could relax. I walked silently crushing the dirt below my feet, hands tucked into my jacket. It wasn’t cold, but the night air was cool. The guards around the Mansion said nothing when I crossed the gates and I continued with confidence.Maybe they were okay wi

Julian Anderson (The Alpha)’s POVCold water had helped with the constant rush of thoughts in my head. Evelyn was safe and sound in her room, with the person I trusted the most. There was nothing to worry about. She had been so brutally hurt I had almost lost my composure when I saw her on the bed lying unconscious with Larisa treating her. I had informed Gabriel that his General had attacked one of mine. Though I wondered what she was doing outside at the time. I had wanted to kill that man– wanted to rip his head off his shoulders, but I couldn’t, not until I proposed the law and had it come into action. I also left him alive for a public execution–so that people would see and know what would happen if they broke the law.It was almost midnight when I came out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and was rummaging through the wardrobe to find my clothes when a knock on the door startled me. Who would be at my door at this time? When I opened the door, I didn’t expect t

Julian had asked me to live at his house. His private house. And I was shocked to say the least. When I asked him why, he said he’d want me to be safe after he was going to announce the new laws. He said there would be a possibility of a civil war.But I didn’t want to hide, I wanted to fight. I didn’t want to seek protection just because I liked Julian. I wanted to stand by him and fight for him, and for my and our human rights. He knew I would say that, but he still kept the offer open.It was still many days until Julian announced the new laws. His alliances in the other regions had already begun their work– protect humans, punish the criminals and pay the workers the amount they actually deserve.*** It was around four in the evening when Matthew came into Julian’s office smiling from ear to ear. Julian greeted him and asked him why he was here.“Evans and I have something planned, Alpha… if you could please allow Evans to hangout with me the rest of the day, I’ll be grateful.” h
