Karla stood outside Sand Dune, the sound of the ocean coming from behind the building, patrons walking in and out, laughing as they did, and she absorbed it all. Music filtered out from inside every time someone opened the doors and laughter followed. She could picture the chaos. People cluttering around the bar, Sean and Paul doing their best to keep up, while Heath stood by the front door checking IDs, and serving girls, wearing skimpy shorts and low-cut blouses, weaved around the tables taking orders.
