Chocolate and Love

The only shop that they found on the road was a hot chocolate shop and a small grocery store. They stopped there and ordered two cups for them both. “What else do you need?” The kind vendor asked and Gabe shoot his head. "That's all.” He said. There were seats around the place, a little scattered to show that the vendor was already packing some of them up, and would soon close for the night, so they decided not to have a seat or anything like that. She heard Gabe tell the man to man them into go-to cups. The man nodded and passed them two steaming cups of hot chocolate which Alex took gladly. After he paid, we walked past the shop and once again continued walking on the empty road. Once the hot chocolate entered her mouth, she sighed deeply at the warm and sweet taste, loving the way it went down her throat and then warmed up her body. She was still feeling cold, but she was getting used to being outside in a dress like this. God, this night was getting too long. It was as if it ha

Heart Pound

Alex didn't think that this was how the apology would go, because it sure shocked her to silence. She realized we still hadn't said anything, but she wouldn't if she had her way with how she was feeling. At that moment, she wanted nothing more than hug him and tell me that she doesn't need the world, that he was alone for her, and that he had been since the first time she set eyes on him. “Oh, Gabe.” She said, slightly touching his cheek before retrieving her hand. "I love you too, you silly man. I have since the first time we met. I just couldn't stop thinking about you. It was why I was more hurt that you didn't trust me.” She said. He nodded. "And, I'm sorry about that. I won't let it happen again.” He said. She sighed. "You really shouldn't be apologizing to me but to Max,” she said, half expecting him to disagree or throw a tantrum that he can't do that, but he just shrugged and nodded his head. "I hear you.” He said. It wasn't so hard now, was it, admitting the way he felt

Messy Training

If Alex said that she wasn't thinking about what had happened that night at the party, that brief encounter she had had with Gabe, well it wasn't all that brief but that wasn't the point, she would be lying her ass off. That experience had near sent her heart into a melting frenzy and it was as if she was about to melt away. And then he had taken her out down a lonely road after the dinner at the restaurant and told her he loved her, real intoxicating, sweet love. Then he kissed her, dragged her off to the bench, and kissed her even more. She thought of that moment every goddamned time even though that wasn't exactly what she had meant to do, especially not as she sat there at there in the park house’s training ground with seven other teenagers who were having difficulty finding their wolf. Alex wanted to be ashamed she was doing this at her age, but no one could fault her. Although, she realized that training with others like this would make people suspicious of the things they di

Dinner after Dinner

That night after the training, Alex sat down in her room tired even though she did nothing stressful, waiting for dinner to be ready. She wondered why she was getting tired quickly these days and hoped it had nothing to do with trying to find the work that might or might not be dead already in her, or that was buried deep down somewhere. That would be too much work. Yawning, she stood up to get rid of her clothes and grabbed the towel she had placed beside her on the bed to wrap around her body, then she glanced at the door, hoping no one came in. Galatia was supposed to come to call her for dinner when he was done cooking, and he was cooking something for God knows the reason. She didn't even know he would offer to cook or know how to, but she guessed she would find out the latter when she ate the food. She stretched and heard a cracking sound in her waist joint before walking to the bathroom where she spend about half an hour just soaking in the bath with hot water and strawberr

That's My Sister

They jumped apart and looked to the door to see a grin on Dean’s face. "Gabe, that's my sister you have your throat shoved down her mouth.” He said playfully. “And get ass down that counter.” He said to Alex, making her laugh. “You saw nothing, Dean. And mind your business. She might be your sister, but she's my mate.” He said, waving his hand at him for him to get out. Laughing, Dean said. "You both should get back before someone else comes by.” He walked out after that.Alex nodded her head in agreement. “Yeah, I think he’s right, we should go now before someone else finds us here, or else will get busted.”With a groan, Gabe agreed and they went back into the living room to join the game. About twenty minutes into the game, somebody suggested they dance and they started to dance. It was late, and even though they should be heading back home and the rest going to bed, they decided it was better to have fun, spontaneously. Cara choose Alex as a dance partner, even though Tim had

Wolf Within You

She had started her training full time but it was happening at Berkeley Moore as Gabe had told her it would. Although, this didn't really come to her as training because most of what she does was run around some set pillars about a hundred times or so. She wondered how that would help her get her to wolf out. She was drenched with sweat with no promise of getting what she wanted or needed. She couldn't feel her would or anything in form of life at all within her. She started to swing her hand forward as the instructor told her to, but it was of no help. Sighing, she clenched her teeth and closed her eyes, groaning as loud as she could to imitate pushing when in labor, but even that didn't work. “Okay, you need to stop, Alex. You're not concentrating enough and that's why you're in so much conflict. You wolf; even though you feel like you don’t have one or she's dead, is there somewhere, feeling everything you're feeling." He shook his head. "You need to concentrate as much as you c

Sleepless Night

It was four thirty-something in the morning, and the whole house was doused in silence. Alex had come downstairs at one in the morning when she couldn't sleep because she was thinking about how to talk to Gabe about something she should have told him long ago, now after making a fuss about trust. She didn't think it would be this hard or complicated but it was. After lazing around for about two hours or so, she finally fell asleep on the couch in the living room. Thankfully, the couch was wide enough, and it sure look like a bed so she had no problem falling asleep. It was aside from that, comfy, and its material made her feel so warm. She was cuddled up on her side with a pillow beside her, making her look even more tired than she was for not sleeping until then, and that was his Gabe saw her when he came downstairs at four something in the morning. Gabe was startled when he walked into the living room to see her there, but he soon walked up to her and squat in front of her to stu

Thoughts and Feelings

Alex didn't go back to sleep though, instead, she yawned and opened her eyes fully. It took her a minute and a few blinks to get adjusted to the darkness of the living room. Gabe thought of turning on the light but he stayed transfixed in the way she was with the moonlight behind her. She looked so out of this world with the light bouncing off her skin and the shadow of the darkness illuminating her made her look so perfect. There was no doubt in him that he would have fallen in love with this woman, regardless of whether or not she was his mate. That was a major help, but it wasn't the only factor for why he couldn't live without her. A couple of minutes after waking up, she moved a little on her elbow to raise her up. "What time is it?" she asked him in a whisper as her eyes adjusted to the room and she saw him. This was unexpected, seeing him here but she wasn't startled at all. It was as if she somehow knew he was here or had been for a while watching her while she slept. She l

Let Me Think

"You saw a flash of vision while at the cabin?” he asked again in disbelief. Surprise doesn't even begin to explain how he felt as he stared at Alex. Alex nodded her head, wriggling her fingers around one another as she didn't know what else to say. This was the third time Gabe was asking her the question since she mustered the courage to talk to him about her visions like the trainer had suggested she did. She tried as much as possible to look away from him but he was sitting directly in front of her which was why she could see the expression on his face. It didn't quite hurt that he didn't believe her though, because that wasn't the expected reaction to what she had told him. He sighed and then he said. "Fine, let's say that you had a flash of vision there, can you tell me what it was about?” he asked. He wasn't skeptical for nothing about what Alex had just told him, but the cabin was the last place a gift can work. It had happened many years ago when for some reason, his mothe

A Strange Call

Being careful about everything now was the order of the day, until she was able to wolf out. To Alex, this still felt like she was being pranked because she didn't feel like she had a wolf inside of her no matter what everyone kept saying. She was supposed to train today, but she was feeling a bit down, plus she had to rest well if she was following Gabe to the party at his office tonight. The company was having a party, an annual thing. Well, she wants really all that interested, so, she didn't want to think much about it. She closed her eyes and pulled the pillow a little bit tighter against her before she sighed. It was a real work trying to find something within her she wasn't sure existed, but she had to keep trying if she didn't want to die. “I should have just been born human, or not turned out to be their concealed child who happen to be a werewolf. Wouldn't that be so easy than having to go through all of these?” she whispered to herself, but no answer came. Well, the lat
