Chapter 11- Finn and Ethan

Finn, the most feared lycan warrior in the south, watched the beautiful alchemist slipping through the crowd like water while he absently waved a hand to disperse proof of his release. Her actions were lithe and elegant as if this weren't her first time having to flee. Pearl. That was her name, and Finn thought it was gorgeous and she deserved such a name. However, there was something strange about his little beauty, something undeniably mysterious but equally alluring. Finn hadn't realized his companions had already spotted her before he approached, but once he'd seen her, he couldn't have turned away, and they were just as spellbound. Even though the patrons were packed tightly together on the dance floor, he'd noticed her pale blonde hair. Pure and brilliant, it was as lightly colored as a pearl from the shores of the Fire Kingdom, a color no ordinary creature could attain naturally. Then, the bodies parted for just a moment, and he saw her. Once Finn laid eyes on her ealier, h

Chapter 12- Finn, Vergel and Ethan

Finn's desire had only grown when their powers tangled together earlier, mingling and dancing. When she let him slide his fingers between her shapely thighs, he was hooked. Her confidence, as well as the small gasps and mewls, had turned him molten, making him burn for her as brightly as a pyre in the dead of night. The sweet scent of her—a tantalizing mix of moonlit lilies, springtime thunderstorms, and vanilla—saturated the air with her release, wrapping around him, pulling at his cock, and sending him careening over the damn cliff of release right alongside her. Fuck. A shiver raced through him just thinking of the moment they'd shared. Who was she? What was she doing here? And how had they never crossed paths before now? All he knew was he wanted time to learn the answers to those questions, and if Ethan had his way, the woman would've already been in the King's clutches. The thought was enough to make Finn's growl, the low, protective sound buried under the noise of the club

Chapter 13- Vergel

Strolling to his Ducati, Vergel got on and started it up, then drove into traffic. He didn't wait for a gap, barely missing being run over, ignoring the blaring horns as he turned left. Putting in his earbuds one-handed, he cranked up the music and sang along to the song as he let his mind wander back to her. Always back to her. The hunch he'd had weeks ago now—of glass-green eyes, of power like gilded shadows washing over him, through him—filled his mind. Aside from his brother Ethan and best friend, Finn, Vergel had never cared about anyone and had never felt protective of anyone. But, he felt protective of the little alchemist and had from his first, tiny vision. He wanted to hold her and keep her safe and help her. He may not understand why, yet, but she was important to him—to all of them. That he'd had to tell a little white lie tonight to get his brother and his friend to the club, luring them there under the pretense of capturing the little beauty, barely bothered him. It h

Chapter 14- First box

Eastern Mountain.Arriving at her little cabin, Pearl shivered at the memory of the pub as she paced in her living room and kept her eyes on the luminous boxes. Pearl could start over with three magical boxes that trapped three powerful warrior werewolves. Maybe these treasures could help her open a portal to the mortal realm. No longer would she be a drifter, running from her past, running from her father, the king. A smile pulled at her lips, and she had already made up her mind. She was going to find the owner of that soul and make them her slave to do her bidding. Maybe they could help her look for the magic that was missing for her to be able to open a portal. Without another thought, Pearl tossed the onyx boxes into her locker. Alchemists no longer have the darling little reputation that the generations before them had. No, they were feared. Her mother hid her ability away to protect her. Even the king didn't know that she could absorb power from someone else or that she coul

Chapter 15- Out from the box

"My name is Pearl," she introduced herself, her tone tinged with affection. She expected less, but this werewolf was magical and powerful. It didn’t acknowledge her at all as it continued to devour its dinner. "Time for your pals."With care, she cradled the red box in her palms. The heat of the flames nipped at her skin as I pushed it into the hot embers. The second one came out just like the first. From a magical mist to a solid wolf form,It climbed out with more strength than the other wolf. Scarlet fur captured the light of the fire in gleaming magnificence. It was just as deadly and beautiful as the other one, ethereal and massive. It growled and seemed to wink at her, but it was not nearly as trusting. Peal couldn't even get close enough to offer the beast a strip of meat without the beast snapping its traitorous snout at her. She tossed the food to the floor, and its paw pulled the meat closer. Low growls emit from its throat with every move she makes. She smiled. "Aren’t you

Chapter 16- Red, White and Dark

Dark took a tentative step closer and growled. He was not the favorite of the three, but he was not the worst either. Pearl scale of magical creatures, he lingered around with affectionate pets and annoying assholes most days. Her hands rose to slip the chain around him, and just when she thought he was going to make her life easy, Dark showed her what a true pain in her ass he really was.The massive, dark, and beautiful wolf leaps from the bed. His paws' talons pulled back, sinking into his skin quickly, and only smooth scales met Pearl's shoulders. She hit the floor hard. The boards groan beneath their weight. "Ouch!" she exclaimed, "Dark, you're bloody heavy!" Dark’s body surrounds her, blocking out the morning light and secluding her from the devious wolf."Heck..." she groaned, her fingers slipping through her hair to feel the back of her head. There was no blood, but pure pain was pounding through her skull. "Dark... you giant dog, that hurt so much. Be careful next time, will

Chapter 17- Selling the three

Long claws dig into the dry dirt. The three massive mystical wolves meet the astonished gazes of the villagers. Pearl sighed at the beautiful landscape to her right. The river appeared still, yet she flowed under the thinnest of ice, awaiting the gentle touch of the sun. Though the air bore only coldness and the ground was almost frozen once more, they glittered with the gift of each nascent ray. It was something you never really got used to—after all, ordinary werewolves weren't as big as the three, and seeing a rare creature like a warrior wolf was out of the question. Even Pearl was impressed with them when she looked their way. The men and women halt in their tracks, backing up just slightly to make way for the three not-so-ordinary wolves who circle their every step. Rumbling growls tear from the wolves’ throats each time they pass someone. Pearl offered the villagers pleasant smiles. Of course, no one smiled back. No surprise there. They loathed her. They hated her confidence.

Chapter 18- Alec

"Lord Bernie’s son is expecting me." Pearl’s chin tipped up a little higher, and the two men passed a quiet look between them. "OK, I’ll wait. No rush, boys!" She added a casual smile, her arms folding, making the chains clink against each other. She held a stance of assured carelessness. One of the guards backed away slowly. The man before Pearl was tense. Wide shoulders so stiff she couldn't help but cough aggressively to see how fast he'd react. Very fast in case someone was wondering. She had to pull back as the tip of his blade swang up to her, apparently assaulting cough. "Goddess name, dear! Calm down. Just the cold, not magic…" And that was how they were standing as Alec, handsome-neon-haired Lord Bernie’s son, sauntered out. His hands were in his pockets, and there was a look of amusement in his eyes that made them shine like emeralds. Well, Pearl couldn't deny the man was beautiful, even his hair seemed to float and glide. Such a beautiful male alchemist. She thought to he

Chapter 19- Two spell books and silvers

"Guard," Pearl summoned the massive guard, who took uncertain and slow steps toward them. "Guard, your boss needs you to run and bring me what I asked for. Can you do that?" She nodded as she spoke quickly. "And plus the money that I need, and if you could get that in small, spendable bills, that’d be really appreciated, big guy."The guard’s dark eyes shifted from Pearl to Alec and back again."Come one, Pearl, I can’t just give out that kind of spell book and that sort of money. The cost will have to be approved. It’ll take a day or two at least, and you know that."A few days? Pearl didn't have any food at home. She has three wolves who might eat me themselves if she doesn't have food for them.Surely. Alec didn't notice that these three wolves were not just ordinary warriors but the souls of someone very powerful, right? How could he be this naive to never notice that? She thought of how pathetic the alchemist was."Oh." Pearl said instead and bit her lip as her eyes shifted towa

Chapter 20- Three massive D

Pearl just gawked at the beautiful man who made her moan two years ago. She just hoped he couldn't recognize her. Even with a different face, she knew her essence was still the real her or part of her."Silly girl! It’ll probably close if you just remove one of the several stacks of silver and put it in the spell book first." Ethan's pale blond hair falls into his eyes as he nods to her. The sharp lines of his features were entirely serious. The rumbling tone of his words threatens to steal her breath away, taking her voice and all rational thought with it. What the hell. White was Ethan’s wolf? His own very soul? She didn't see that coming. How was it possible? She knew the rumors that the king of the Fire Kingdom, who happened to be her father, owned every warrior’s soul. Trapped somewhere... but this? "Oh, fuck!" Pearl groaned. "That is so confusing.""Confusing?"She nodded her head like a zombie, unaware of her gaze at the beautiful creature. Butt naked. Bulging. Naked. Yes, she
