Noah's POV Marcus tightened his grip on me as we listened to Xander tell us what happened. He told us Thaddeus was rejected by his mate. He told us how he found him laying on the ground behind the building. His own mate had hurt him. He found Thaddeus bleeding and struggling to breathe. His wheelchair was tipped over and he was laying on the ground behind it. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why would anyone do that to him? Thaddeus's POV I leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the top of his head. I feel horrible that I've kept him up every night for the past week. It made me hate the part of myself that I hide from the world. If I was your typical Alpha, it wouldn't be this bad. Every time the pain hits, it's so intense and so overwhelming that I lose myself to it. It feels like my insides are on fire and burning. At the same time it feels like someone has reached into my chest and wrapped their hand around my heart and squeezed it as hard as they could. Squeezing it to the point where it crumbles and falls apart in their hand. There have been so many times it felt like I was dying. It seemed like the pain would never end, it only got worse. Third Person's POV It's too much for him and he tries to stop it. He begins to fight the shift and tries to reverse it. Bones that have already taken on their new shape and connected rebrake as they try to go back. The sensation is even more painful, the bones have just taken on their new form and now they've broken again to reform a new shape. His screams are heartbreaking, as he screams as loud as he possibly can. Even Spirit cries and whimpers from the pain. The three grown men watch horrified as his body tries to reshape back to its human form. They watch the body shift back and forth as Spirit tries to fight it and push the shift along. Third Person's POV I walk down the line, checking each team, each man and making sure their stance, movements and follow throughs are correct. I already know which men need more work. So after I do my rounds to make sure everything looks good, I focus on the ones who need more help. Starting with the one who needs the most help first then moving up.
