The Intruder

Arabella's eyelids parted slowly, she was awake once again. To be frank, she could not count how many times her eyes had flickered open and close in the last couple of hours. It seemed like it was all she could do. She had barely opened her eyes when she heard the door click open and close. Arabella tilted her neck towards the door, but she could not see anyone - or anything - the room was pitch black. Arabella heaved a sigh as she tried to narrow her eyes on the dark shadow. It must have been master Klaus, she thought to herself. After all, no one else had a real reason to come into the room besides him. However, she could neither see nor feel anything. She closed her eyes, took in a deep breath, before turning back towards the door. "Master Klaus?" She called out to the darkness, but he did not respond. It was unlike Klaus, he would have rushed to her the second she called out to his name, no matter what. Arabella cleared her throat slowly. "Master Klaus? Is that you?" She c

Klaus To The Rescue 3

Klaus Lavon rushed past the doors of the hospital. Adrenaline coursed through his veins as he pushed the doors apart, staring at one thing and one thing only; the empty space in the corridor that led to Arabella's room. He had not taken the threat of the old man lightly, not at all. He would have been a fool to do so, Klaus was very well aware of that fact. A man who had been powerful enough to infiltrate his household, bribe his guards, and move a woman from one city to another as a kidnapped hostage was powerful enough for his threats to be taken seriously…very seriously. As he drove earlier, Klaus found pleasure knowing that the man would be dead by the time he got back. He would have been burnt beyond recognition. Even his soul would not be able to recognize his body from the depth of hell. The thought alone was enough to make him happy, very happy. However, he was haunted by the man's last words throughout the drive. He wished they could get to the hospital as quickly as the

Strange Dreams

Breeze…laughter…giggles. All three sensations flooded her at once, filling her heart and mind with a form of peace she had never thought attainable. The air was free, boid of fear, or pain, or hurt. The stars seemed to have align above the sky, to create a big and beautiful picture of the sun. She sniffed in one long and pure breath. The giggles were getting louder, closer and louder. Arabella turned her head backwards to ecamine the fields. Green grasses, roses, sunflowers, all surrounded her. The shrubs were as tall as her waist, all smooth and silky. When had grass ever been so beautiful to run through? Ahead, she could see the back of a little girl. Dark hair, brown dress and a matching pair of slippers. When she flipped her long hair backwards and turned to look at Arabella, Arabella could see the girl smile at her, beckon and call to her. "Come on, mummy! What are you waiting for?!" The little girl's excited scream filled the entire field, echoing in her ears, over and ov

Delilah’s Final Fate

The drive was quite a short one, mostly because Klaus Lavon made a decision to be silent for most of it, except for the time he muttered underneath his breath, promising Delilah the most awful torture she would ever have the chance to experience in her rather short life. He could not wait.He sat with his fists clenched throughout, sitting and leaning out of the chair. Markus stayed silent, he could understand his best friend's anger. Arabella was the love of his life, she would forever remain so, to dare to toy with her life was to gamble with yours. As Klaus occasionally turned to his best friend, he could tell the reason Markus kept his eyes on him, he did not need a soothsayer to tell him Markus was bothered. The closer they got to the warehouse, the more Klaus's rage was fueled within him. Welcome Home

Every good thing, they say, comes to an end. Fortunately, so does every bad thing. And for Arabella, one nightmare in her life was finally over. Finally, she was going home. As she sat up on the chair, she watched Klaus sign the rest of her discharge documents, while the doctor spoke with a proud smile on his face. He was not to be blamed now, was he? She would have had a broader smile on if she was the one who had saved someone's life. Not just one person, but two; mother and child. The hospital had done really well, she would have given them a five-star rating if there was any opportunity to do so. "Thank you for everything, Doctor Barnes. I really appreciate." Klaus said, extending his right hand out for a handshake. Arabella blushed. She was happy she could lose the "master" title now. After all, with his baby in her womb, their relationship had gone far past master and slave. To be frank, she still found it funny that their relationship began on such grounds. If she did

Scary Dreams & Spells

Darkness. It was a concept Arabella had already gotten used to, a feeling she had learnt to kiss. The glorified sense of loneliness that enveloped her whenever she could barely see her own two feet. It was the same thing now, absolutely nothing had changed. She could only remember herself getting into bed beside Klaus at night, and placing her head on his chest, as he rubbed her back gently. How she had managed to transcend from that, to the current state she was in, was unknown to even her. However, one thing was very sure. Arabella was neither happy nor comfortable with where she was. The sweat that poured from her forehead, and soaked her neck was more than enough to tell her that.It was only when she tried to move her feet and settle into a more comfortable position, that she realized her legs had been chained. Her hands had been cuffed behind her back, and the smell of the room that hit her nose was rather….familiar. The sound of a door creaking open was more than enough

Appreciations

Arabella stepped into the kitchen the next morning. She felt stronger and better than last night, thanks to Klaus who had made sure to take good and proper care of her.As she walked into the kitchen, the woman took a quick turn to glance at her. A small frown formed on Mrs. George's face as she looked at Arabella."And what, if I may ask, might you be doing downstairs?" Arabella watched as Mrs. George dropped the plate in her hands, wiped her soapy hands against her dark apron, begkre rushing to her."What do you think you're doing downstairs?"Arabella was surprised to see the woman rush to her like that. As she continued to watch Mrs. George's face, a deep frown spread across her lips."I just wanted to help you do some stuff around the kitchen. I…""No, no." Mrs. George refused, shaking her head."I cannot let you do that, please. You need to go back upstairs to rest."Arabella rolled her eyes and scoffed. If was an awfully loud one.Rest? She needed to rest?It really felt like r

Some Minor Worries

The discussion with Markus had ended better than Klaus had expected, and he was now ready to return home to the love of his life, and his beautiful unborn child. He did not need to see the face of the baby to know that she would be an absolute angel. Yes, she. From the dream Arabella told him she had, Klaus was bold enough to assume the child was a girl, and he hoped and prayed he would not be wrong. He would be so delighted to have a mini Arabella running around his mansion and staying close to him very soon. He could not wait to shower her with kisses and love. The same way he planned to spoil her mother with all the wonderful, endearing, and best things of life. As he stepped into the room he shared with Arabella, Klaus heart lept for joy in his chest. He leaned against the door, hands folded in front of his chest as he watched her, a proud smile on his face. Of a truth, Klaus had never been happier to have someone in his life, someone to love, someone to hold. Before he met

Family Dinner & Reconciliations

They were all seated around the room table. Arabella had never had the room so filled with people before. It has always been just she and Klaus, but now, his father and Mrs. George were present with them, not to forget the baby in her stomach. The food was served shortly after everyone arrived. Arabella set the table, even if Klaus did not agree to it, while Mrs. George displayed the delicious and colorful cuisines in different plates and bowls, with different drinks; wine, champagne, fruit juices, and punch, all glittering in their various colours, their flavors filling the room with beautiful scents. She was happy. She continued to smile from ear to ear, pleased to finally be part of something she could hold dear, something she could be part of. "Can someone pass me the sauce?" Arabella heard Klaus's father ask. He stretched his hand to no one in particular, but Arabella jumped from her seat immediately, just to make sure she served him the sauce as quick as possible. No matte

Sordid Discussions

Arabella stayed behind at the table to finish her meal with Mrs. George. After father and son had both excused themselves, Arabella and Mrs. George stayed back to enjoy their dinner in peace. Maybe Mrs. George was able to eat in peace, but Arabella was not. All the while, she kept on thinking about what Klaus's father had intended to ask her, and what the answer to the question would have been. Mrs. George looked up at her at one point, a small smile on her face. "I do not think you should beat yourself up about it, Arabella. If it was anything very important, you should know master Klaus would never keep it away from you." Arabella dropped her fork, and cleared her throat. She stared deep into Mrs. George's eyes, before speaking. "I know, I know. But I can't stop myself from worrying. It sucks, it really does." Mrs. George heaved a sigh. She reached out to Arabella and touched her wrist gently. "You'll be alright, my dear. That is all I really need you to know." Arabella did
