Heyli had been able to ignore the looks people were giving her but Nina seated here? That was going to be like walking into hell. She was staring directly at me and that made her uncomfortable as hell. Melodie, who had just come up behind her, saw Nina. "Oh, shit." She muttered. "Hey, Nina," Kayla greeted as she dropped into the space beside her. Nina was seated close to the window and she was going to be in the middle and it was a good thing. At least, Nina wouldn't be glaring daggers at her. "Hey, Kayla," Nina replied in the most unconcerned voice ever and now, Heyli was starting to believe she was causing a rift between the three friends. Come to look at it. Things used to run smoothly between them all before Heyli came into the book and it was actually making her feel guilty right now. "Hey, Nina," Heyli nodded in acknowledgment but Nina turned her face away like she didn't see Heyli. Heyli shrugged and sat before Kayla who nudged her not to feel bad about it.
