It was the first day back to school for Chloe and already she was dreading it, wishing she could climb back into bed and fall into a blissful sleep. She hadn't slept much the previous night, frightened by her drunken father raging over everything. When she was younger, her father was the sweetest man alive, he was her roll mode, the man she always went to when she was having problems at schooll. That was until her mother died and the drinking started. He was an angry drunk, always pushing her into corners whenever she made him upset.Her only escape was sleep, when it would come, and when it wouldn't be riddled with dark nightmares or traumatizing memories that raided her dreams most nights. Matt stood in the hall, Mark beside him. He had a disappointed look on his face missing Chloes presence. He was staring down the hall she had just left, wanting to run after her but knew he couldn't, he didn't want to seem like a crazy stalker running after a girl he just met.“What a love sick puppy,” Mark said, shaking his head in amusement. He grabbed Matt by the shoulder, steering him into the class, taking a seat at the back.The class was quite small with two rows of tall, white tables. The back wall was filled with cupboards with labels and Hazardous signs. The walls covered in posters of the periodic table, chemical compounds and the chemical makeup of certain elements.Each table was equipped with a lamp, microscope and test tube holders. At the front of the class sat the teachers desk with many papers littering the top and a massive white board in the center of the wall.'So what was all that about?' Matt pulled into the school parking lot, Mark sitting beside him in the passanger seat and Niki in the back. They were a bit early this morning as he parked right in front of the school. He switched the car off and they all hopped out and headed for the doors. Niki disappeared down one of the halls while they went to Matt's locker.“So what are you going to say to her? It was the last lunch break of the day and Chloe planned to finish as much of her homework as possible so that when she got home, she could just put the washing in and go sleep.After fetching her books from her locker, she made her way to the field at the back of the school, going to sit on the bleachers under the sun. Chloe was so exhausted while she struggled to focuse on the questions of her history assignment. Matt was running through the forest in his wolf form, Zane taking control. Their anger was intensified as Matt's rage mixed with Zanes. He pushing them to run faster than ever, trying to control their boiling anger. He felt twigs and stones sticking to the underside of his paws, poking and stabbing at his feet every time his paws touched the ground.
