"I'm sorry Abigail, I'm so sorry for putting you through so much," the middle-aged man who looked older than his years because of the harsh toxins his body once took in, sobbed between words. "No, no, no, Pa, I should thank you for staying alive. Thanks for not giving up," Abigail wasn't any better, clinging tightly to him as she sobbed. This was unexpected. She recalled when she called Ivy concerning the divorce. She said she was going to come soon but Abigail hadn't taken her seriously because of the pain she felt at that moment. "But you got married because of me. You never wanted to," her father pulled away and stared intently into her eyes. Abigail smiled shyly and said, "but it's the best thing that happened to me.
