“Ariadne?” Victor calls.Ariadne is awake. She’s crumpled in on herself at the edge of the bed. “Victor?”“What’s wrong?” Victor asks, sitting up and hitting the lights.God, the smell, it’s so strong. This can’t be Denning anymore. This is-Victor's hand catches something moist on the sheets near Ariadne's side. It takes a minute for the Alpha to realize what it is. This is-“I don’t feel good, Victor,” Ariadne whines, “I’m so hot. I think I need a doctor.”Victor scrambles over, tossing the comforter away.
