They stood up one after the other, asking for me to excuse them but I could see it was in a mocking way. I had stood up for myself but why did it feel as if I had done something wrong. There was just this sinking feeling in me that I had went overboard, my head throbbing as I watched them all get up and walk out of there, leaving their plates full of food. I did not show all this grief I was feeling, my face indifferent, trying to pull a stoic mask over my face. The door closed with a bang, my head snapping to it, finding it closed then I stared right back at the table, finding everyone gone with just the man that had strangled me left.
