Kade“Fuck” I cursed under my breath seeing Sabine’s naked body laying on the frozen ground. My bones snapped and rearranged almost instantly, thanks to the multiple times I shifted.  I bent down quickly checking her pulse and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding.  She was alive. Her pulse was weak but it was there and that gave me hope.“Come on Sabine, wake up.” I  said, shaking her trying to get a reaction from her. Kade I didn’t think I could walk that fast in my human form and yet I got to the pack clinic in record time. I convinced myself that I would just stop by and see how Sabine was doing, if she needed anything. Sabine“I can’t even look at you right now,” My dad  spat angrily. “I don’t think you realized how bad you made us look, I thought you understood the importance of your union with Mika. It’s not about you, it’s about everyone” Dad continued clenching his fists.Every word he says hits my heart like a thousand knives, why don't I have a word to say? Why didn't it matter what I wanted? I gulped down the lump formed in my throat not being able to look at him while he continued blaming me. “As soon as the doctor lets you go, you will marry Mika and we all leave this place. No celebration, nothing. We wasted precious food on an engagement that didn’t take place, I am not going to do it again. Now pray, that Mika would still agree to take you” Dad uttered and I chuckled. “Like he would miss the chance to become the next Chief” I heard myself saying.

SabineNot long after doctor Smith left me, Sasha came in humming a song. Since I got to meet her she was always a cheerful person who made me laugh but today I feel there is more to it.“Are you ready?” Sasha asked me with a big smile plastered on her face.“I should be thrilled, right?”  I surprised myself by saying and she looked at me curiously. “I am freaking out” I added more to myself“Sabine, I already told you, Kade is really nice and he is going to take care of you.
