Chapter 21 -“I'm here for you.”

Amelia’s point of view:“Alejandro, calm down! Please!” I whispered through gritted teeth as I faked a smile towards the onlookers who were currently busy staring at us in curiosity and amusement.Ignorant people! They were totally oblivious to what might go down if this gorgeous man beside me transforms into his wolf. All I know is that his beast would have a wonderful feast.“If you’re having troubles controlling your wolf, you can hold my hand.” I leaned closer and held out my hand.“Shall I hold your waist instead?” He reached out to hold the sides of my waist. His sudden movement made me step back with a flinch.“Huh?” I frowned.Raising an eyebrow at me, he asked. “Do I look like I’ll lose control over my wolf?”I slowly shook my head indian-style with a shrug while saying, “I-I maybe… maybe not.”Clenching his jaw, his eyebrows narrowed down questioningly as he took in the look on my face. “Was that a yes or a no?”“I don’t know.” I replied in confusion. He shook his head in di

Chapter 22 - I bet it will taste as delicious as it smelt

Alejandro's point of view: "I'm here for you. I'm here to protect you and to guard you. And, I'll stay here until you would come back with me to the Poldark pack." I firmly said and then added, "I will wait for you no matter how long it takes.""I told you, I need some more time." She insisted while slowly shaking her head from side to side. "I know... but I came here for you so I'll stay here with you until you accept me. You can take your time... actually no! I'll give you two days to decide." "What do you mean by two days?" She asked sharply. "Like heck I'll be able to decide in two days. This isn't about choosing between two shirts at a shop. This is a life decision!" She exclaimed. "You take two days to make a choice for a shirt?" I was stunned. If she takes so much time for her clothes then she would take a lifetime to make a decision about us. "That's not the point, Alejandro." She deadpanned. Fuck! I like it when she says my name. It sounds like a blessing to my ears. 'N

Chapter 23 - Cutting onions?

Amelia’s point of view: “I have never cooked in my life.” Alejandro walked down the stairs after changing into his clothes. “There’s a first for everything.” I said with a shrug. There were still some remnants of lipstick on his lips but there was no point in telling him about it now that he’d already lost his dignity in front of the whole town. And, he looked kind of cute with his lips slightly more pinkish in color. Alejandro stopped walking altogether and looked at me with a face. “But -” “No buts, you agreed to help me cook.” I intervened before taking out the ingredients we would need to prepare lunch. “Why did I agree to this?” Alejandro tightened the knot on the baby pink apron I had given him behind his back, muttering to himself. “Hmm? Did you say something?” I turned to look at him with the spaghetti in one hand and a bowl and spatula in the other. “Nothing,” he shook his head. I pretended as if I didn’t notice that his eyes were still pinned on me and continued to

Chapter 24 - Moonlight, heat and high fever!

Alejandro’s point of view: When Amelia had told me to help her prepare lunch, I had just stared at her for a moment, unsure how I had felt about that. But, before I could have thought it through, Leo had pushed forth and had agreed to help her. Never in my one hundred year of existence could I have imagined I’d be standing in a flowery kitchen that early in the morning, cooking with my mate, my human mate. Now that I think about it, this was just a wonderful moment. Her laughter sounded like music to my ears… to my sensitive ears which weren’t so sensitive to her loud chuckles. Once her laughter died down though, I watched as her lips turned down into a pout. "No! Look at what you did, Alejandro," She breathed out gloomily. For a moment, all I could think about was the way my name sounded coming from her mouth until I noted the anger on her face. Yet, it took some time for me to come out of my reverie. "Hello, I'm talking to you." She snapped her fingers in front of my face to g

Chapter 25 - Your hand was in a dangerous area!

Amelia’s point of view: I woke up in bed feeling all warm. It was getting too hot for my comfort. I forced my eyes open when I finally understood why I felt so warm. The familiar sparks that ignited inside me and the tingles which erupted on my skin told me exactly who was the cause of my bed being so warm. But, what the fuck is Alejandro doing in my bed? I cussed out in my mind. I tried to move out of his hold but to no avail. Instead, he tightened his embrace, annihilating any scrap of distance between our bodies, refusing to let go of me. “Please, five minutes more.” He murmured in his sleep. Fed up with trying to get his huge arms off of me, I sighed and lay my head back down on his upper arm. I closed my eyes for just a split second to prepare myself for my next try at getting him off me when I felt his hand sneakily and slowly slipping lower and lower down my inner thighs, dangerously close to my pelvis. Almost instantly, heat flooded my sex at his touch, leaving my pelvis

Chapter 26 - Conceited Lycan king!

Amelia's point of view:Before I could even blink, he had me in his arms, one hand holding the back of my neck while the other secured around my lower back. His face was millimeters away from mine. My lips would be touching his if I dared move even the slightest bit."W-What are you doing? Leave me," I tried to remove his arms from around me but alas. It would take more than two people to get his hands off me. "Do it," he ordained. His tone of voice was firm and decisive. "Do what?" I pretended as if I couldn't understand what he wanted me to do when I knew exactly what he wanted from me. "Look me in the eyes, Amelia." He stated. Shit, why did he have to say my name? Every single time I hear him saying my name, my heart would go bonkers. And, I couldn't help but feel drawn to him, more than I already was. There was this charisma and invisible pull which would just lure me towards him. "Amelia," He breathed out. Before I could stop myself, my eyes got locked with his piercing s

Chapter 27 - "Did you find your mate, Alejandro?"

Amelia’s point of view: "There isn't much time left, Amelia." Alejandro said, refering to the two days I had asked for to make a decision. "I need more time." I shook my head. "You need to make a decision, Amelia. I've left my pack unattended. I can't be gone for a long time." He stated. "I'm not keeping you here. You are free to leave whenever you want." I refuted. "I'm not leaving without you." He insisted as his arms around me tightened. "Let go of me, Alejandro! You are hurting me." I wiggled to get out of his grasp only to freeze in surprise, mildly startled when I felt his erection."What the hell?" I exclaimed as I tried to get off him. "I'm telling you, I'm not leaving you." He stated decisively as his eyes trailed down to his arms around me before getting locked with mine once again. "I'm telling you to leave me now, you jerk!" I pinched him on the arm. "Ah!" He cried out. I didn't waste another second in getting off him when his hold around me loosened up. "Why di

Chapter 28 - A letter from the Vampire king

Alejandro's point of view: "Tell me, did you find your mate, Alejandro?" Elder Elius questioned. I gulped as I tried to hold his gaze. I cleared my throat before replying, "Yes, I met her." "Can you tell us who -" "Who is she?" Elder Ava asked, interrupting Elder Elius. "Her name is Amelia." I began but paused when I realized that I couldn't really tell them about Amelia's being a human.Werewolves never had human mates. And here, it was about the Lycan king. It never happened before that a Lycan king would be mated to a human. At least, it was unheard of until now. "Where is she? Why did you not introduce her to the pack?" Ava bombarded me with her questions. "She hates me." I said after racking my mind for something to say regarding Amelia's unwillingness to accompany me back to the pack. "What? She hates you? But why? What did you do?" Ava continued. Her eyes were lit up with slight displeasure which was directed towards me. I had to force Leo into submission when he was

Chapter 29 - Meeting Ivan!

Alejandro’s point of view: How dare he threaten to take my mate? Enraged, my wolf forced me to shift midway. Leo was overlapping my human body as I felt my back aching before two large, dark and leathery black wings sprung up from my back, effectively ripping through the back of my shirt in the process. I could do nothing to stop him as I felt furious myself. How dare the Vampire king threaten to take Amelia away from me? How the fuck did he even get this letter in here? I growled at the thought of there being a possible traitor in my pack. Amelia’s point of view: I was tidying up my bedroom when I felt agitated. An uneasy feeling began in my stomach. I started to fidget. I frowned in confusion but continued to sweep the floor until I was forced to let go of the broom. My fingers felt numb and cold. It was as if I couldn’t feel them at all. All of a sudden, I felt like all the air got knocked out of me. I let out a sharp hiss of pain and stumbled forward. I caught myself by

Chapter 30 - "I've got it from my daddy."

Amelia's point of view:"Don't tell me you're actually scared of me?" I asked with a chuckle. Ivan tsked. "Why would I be scared of you? You're a human!" He rollled his eyes at me. "Just admit it." I leaned closer before whispering into his ear. "I won't tell anyone that you, a vampire, is scared of me, a human."When I leaned back to look at him."I'm not scared of you." He raised an eyebrow, his chin lifting in what I recognized as a look very close to dominating. "Don't look at me like that!" I smacked the back of his head. He jerked away from my hand, his eyes and his mouth wide opened in utter disbelief as he stared down at me. "Did you just hit me?"I simply gave a dismissive wave of a hand and rolled my eyes at him. "What was that for?" He ran a hand frustratingly through his hair to check whether it got messy but he wasn't aware that he was messing it up much more than it already was. "There was a mosquito." I shrugged. "Are you really not scared of me?" He arched a bro
