Home of the Game Planner

ZANAYA Leave behind might-have-been's, what if's, and if only's. Regrets are such a heavy burden to lug around. Move on and don't let any opportunity passes you anymore. There are lots of opportunities if you know where to look. These were the things that I've learned from this Tournament. No matter how hopeless the situation was, we could still find opportunities out there. We just have to learn to look for them. However, in my case, another opportunity was lost. My chances of talking with Dave have decrease to thirty percent since as of the moment, we were inside this bus that would take us to the mansion of the game planner for some sort of interview and meetings. My simulation for the second level of the tournament had been bugging me all this time. All I thought I already knew myself; however, my life had been a mystery after all those years. After that acci

The Mission

ZANAYA We were wearing formal outfit for the event tonight, which was the dinner with the game planner. I am wearing a simple violet cocktail dress that's above the knee. Underneath it, I am wearing shorts in case we'll encounter a battle today in our mission. Dave told us earlier about the plan. Arya and Dave would entertain Mr. Charles as Chris and I would do our job in finding the stone at the second floor. When I finished combing my hair, I immediately went to the kitchen where the various dishes for tonight's feast were being prepared. I started the first part of the mission. I pulled out of my purse a vial with blue liquid. I don’t know where Arya got it. It's just a hypnotic liquid and not deadly. I first made sure the CCTV camera couldn’t find me before I put the blue liquid in the guards' drink so that no one would distur

The Action

ZANAYA I pretended to go to CR while Chris went straight to the second floor. Dave and Arya were left at the party to observe the guests for any sign of JDC. This felt like we're in some sort of a secret mission just like what I've seen in the movies before. Who would have thought that the girl who was once lost was now one of those who were also looking for something that have been lost? I never thought that I would find myself in this situation. Until now, it still felt so surreal and I am afraid that the next morning, I would wake up at home and realizing this experience was all but just a dream. Beep. I looked at the watch I was wearing that I got in the tournament as a prize. We still have a lot of equipment that they gave us that we could use as future detectives. Chris' message hologram flashed from the watch. "The area is clear." That

A Fight For the Stone (Part 1)

DAVE As I looked around, I could see those guards who were helping us. Most of them were injured. If I knew this would happen, I shouldn't have let them drink that juice. We were not supposed to be outnumbered tonight. It was clearly unexpected that the Game Planner's house was infiltrated by JDC's group. This was definitely what he meant by that letter which he sent us during our training for the tournament. Chris have a few abrasions on his arms which was caused by rubbing or scraping his skin against the rough surface of the walls. Arya, on the other hand, was trying to block the punches of a girl whose hair was blonde. She was also suffering from incision which was caused by a broken glass. If I were to describe it, the whole place was a mess. I went near a man who was trying to throw a vase into one of the guards. I held him by the shoulder and throw punches on his filthy face.

A Fight For The Stone (Part 2)

DAVE "I already told you. Reign will lose this battle," Angel leered. I gave her a death-glare, hoping that would be enough to just vanish her right then and there. "Oh, poor, Dave. I think you might lose her again just like the last time. When was that? Oh, eleven years ago!" she said then laughed evilly. I wriggled my wrist that was tied by a rope. Its bond had loosened a bit. Just a little bit and I could get rid of it. I turned to her and smirked. "We're not gonna lose in this battle, because this is your end game," I replied before slamming my head on her. She immediately losed her balance and she landed on the floor as she moaned in pain. I suddenly felt a bit dizzy from the impact, but I managed to free myself from the rope. I immediately went to the door to help Reign before Angel could recove

After the Storm

ARYA "Hurry up, Arya, the announcement is about to began!" Monica yammered who had been too excited to go to the function hall. I put my lipstick in my bag first before addressing her. "Do I look okay?" I asked her while still fixing my hair. "You've asked that question for the nth time now," she replied with annoyance and just folded her arms. "You know, Eroll's eyes will always land on you. Believe me. So stop making a fuss about how you look. You're beautiful." The words "you're beautifu" would have been fine if she hadn't mentioned Eroll's name. "Oh, why are you frowning?" she queried while feigning innocence. "Tsk. Let's go!" I bleated. When I said that, I walked straight to the door and went out first. I could hear her laughter again as we exit the room and made our way towards the function hall

The Case of Ms. Q (Part 1)

CHRIS We all couldn’t believe the comeback of Bermuda. The rouge group who did nothing but ruin someone else's life and creating chaos in the academy. The last time we had an encounter was when the student council president was held captive at the MLK club. After that, the group was suspended, however, they were back now with another storm under their sleeves. The woman named Qea still couldn't stop crying. Arya had been trying to comfort her, and surprisingly, the girl calmed down. Never thought that Arya could do that. As for Dave and Zanaya, they seemed to be bored. Dave was about to talk to Zanaya a while ago, but then, they were interrupted. Wrong timing. I stared at the girl. She's looking at her surroundings frantically, as if someone would grab her hand and chop it away just like the hand in the gift box. "Maybe it's better that we just talk at the headquarters, there a

The Case of Ms. Q (Part 2)

CHRIS "My men are now searching for your friend's body," the Chief began. His forehead creased as he examined the results of the fingerprint analysis. "And as for the fingerprint that was found on her hand, do you know someone named Leona?" the Chief asked Qea. "Leona Florentino?" she inquired and her eyes widened slightly. I took noticed of her hands that began to shook again as if the mention of that name brought another fear in her system. "Yes." "She's a former member of the club, but Queenie removed her because her name doesn't start with Q," she divulged. "That explains it! She's probably exacting revenge on you guys," Zanaya exclaimed as if winning the lotto. Her right hand was on her chin and she seemed to be forming another theory in her mind. The room fell silent for a moment as we tried to digest this new revelation. "Wait, where d

The Case of Ms. Q (Part 3)

ZANAYA My heartbeat quickened at what I heard. My clammy hands felt like frozen from the chilling wind. I tried to find in my memory if I have encountered this man before, but all I drew was a blank sheet. He knew me. How did that happen? As far as I know, I have been here in the academia for less than a year, so, it’s very impossible for me to know the boss he’s referring. Whoever that boss was, I'll make sure that we'll end him. "Who ordered you?" Dave asked. The man laughed again. He seemed to be mocking us. "Soon, you will meet him. Don't be too excited, Dave," he leered. I badly want to wipe off that smirk on his filthy face. "You still don't want to suffer, do you?" he added. "What?" Dave snapped at him. While they were busy talking, I slowly approached where the

The Invitation

ZANAYA The students could be heard laughing and talking. Obviously, they were all having fun. Who wouldn't be satisfied? The exam for the first semester was finally over. "Well, this calls for a celebration!" Monica said with burgeoning excitement "Cheers, my friends!" said Arya and raised her bottle of soft drinks for a toast. The six of us were here at the cafeteria and eating our lunch. After the case of Ms. Q, we focused on our studies for the meantime, but of course, Dave was still very attentive to the case. Thankfully, there were no bloody incidents in a week. Dave also never failed to update us on the progress of the Bermuda and JDC case. This included our suspicion that the two groups were allies or have joined forces. Within a week, we found out that it was possible that JDC had a connection to the rouge group. It turned out that they have one goal and
