Chapter Seven

Celestine's body weakly fell to the floor. Her hands were cold and trembling. She couldn’t move—her muscles became stiff, and it was as if she had lost her mobility. “Fuck,” Vincent muttered, realizing what he had done. The loud noise of gunshot was heard not only inside Celestine's suite but also in other rooms as well. Other people inside of their not soundproofed suites were distraught that they briefly left their room to see what was the strange sound they heard, while some, just simply ignored it. When Vladimir noticed that quite a few people were outside of their rooms, asking each other where was the sound came from, he immediately went to Celestine and carry her inside of the suite. “You should think straight, Vincent. We’re not in the mansion. You can’t fire a gun whenever you want to!” Vladimir scolded as soon as he closed the door behind him.He carefully

Abigail hurried to the room where Mr. Stevenson was confined. It was a miracle that only a few hours after taking the old man to the emergency room he immediately regained consciousness. The old man sustained many injuries but luckily, only minor injuries which may have caused him to get back to his consciousness immediately. When Abigail entered the room she saw the old man trying to slowly open his eyes. She approached the old man and immediately checked his condition.  After making sure that the old man was well, the doctor tried to talk to him. "Mr. Stevenson, can you speak? Can you hear me?"  The old man slowly nodded which caused Abigail to smile. "Myla," she called the nurse.  "Yes, Doctor Abigail?" "The patient is fine now. He just needs to rest, and wait for his wounds to heal. Later, when he regained his strength ask him to move his legs. If he can walk, he's ready to get discharged by tomorrow."

She didn't budge, as if she has been waiting for it to ring since a while ago. Therefore, without wasting any seconds, she pressed the answered button. "Is this Miss Saoirse Luis?" the woman over the phone asked. She stood up and fixed herself. Chapter Eight

"Oh c'mon! How can you be so stupid? Leandro's body was found inside of Celestine's bathroom, not because she's the killer but because the culprit doesn't want to get suspected," Nicholas said to calm Carter down who has been hysterically pointing fingers to anyone he knows that could kill Leandro ever since the body of their friend was taken away by the mafia organization. And the first person he suspected was Celestine. Nicholas looked at Carter who is now devastatingly sitting on the floor while his back is leaning against the wall. "Carter, all of us here were trained before we became associates. You think Leandro was stupid enough to let a woman kill him?" Carter wiped his tears using his arm. "I'm sorry."Nicholas sighed and sat beside him. "Leandro was everyone's friend. Like you, and most especially Boss, wants to take revenge for what happened to him. But you can't just point fingers at anyone, that's not your job."

Chapter Eight II

In the four corners of a quiet dark room, every drop of crimson blood onto the clean white tile floor seems like a ticking clock to someone horribly tied in a chair, hands on his back while his swollen eyes were dropped on the floor, counting every drop of his blood. The thick blood streaming down to his body felt like a cold sweat out of working out too hard, but the only difference was he won't be dead from dehydration but his abductors' hands. "Who do you think you are huh? You piece of shit!" The man on his black patent shoe swayed his strong right leg and kicked Vincent's stomach with great force. He coughed blood, violently. The man forcibly grabbed Vladimir's face by jaw and positioned it to see his victim's swollen eyes. "You should know where you're pointing your gun into, kid," he murmured. Vladimir sarcastically chuckled despite feeling the pain in his abdomen. "If you think I'm scared of your b

Even though Vincent was not able to get out of the building completely with Vladimir on his back, who was now struggling to fight himself not to lose consciousness, Damien and Osvaldo immediately met them to get Vladimir. "Boss, we'll take care of Vladimir," Damien said respectfully as he gingerly supported Vladimir's limp body so he could finally lift him away from Vincent. "Make sure to keep him safe," Vincent reminded as Vladimir's heavy body was finally removed from him. "Copy that, Boss." With a sigh, Vincent pulled out his cellphone from his pocket and dialed Kingston's number. While waiting for Kingston's answer, his gaze wandered to Osvaldo who was now still standing by his side as if he's waiting for his command. "Osvaldo, drive them to the nearest hospital," Vincent ordered. Osvaldo nodded. "Copy that, Boss." After three consecutive rings, Kingston answered the call. "Yo

Chapter Eight IV

The leaves of the tree dance with each gust of wind as if the strong wind is a song that causes the leaves to swing and keep up with its rhythm. The cold breeze made the boy rub his tiny hands to his arms with innocent eyes staring at the bright moon and twinkling stars. The boy sat on the edge of his bed and kept his eyes fixed outside of his room's window, entirely mesmerized by the beauty of the moon.  "No, let me explain! I'm your wife, you should believe in me! Please babe, let me explain." A woman's loud plea caused the sudden flight of birds that had previously been resting on the branch of the tree.  Her voice echoed throughout the silent mansion. The boy's peaceful night got ruined by it.  "And you think I'd still believe in you? After everything that you've done?! No!" The man shouted frustratedly to his wife that was on her knees and begging him to believe her. "You bel
