037 Going to the Clearsand's

Alex Sam and I packed up our bags the next day. As much as we wanted to take the twins with us, we knew it would be dangerous. We weren't going there for holiday. We were only going there to contain a problem. I hoped this was the right move. After everything that Sam had told me, I hoped this was the right move. I wondered who this corrupt moon goddess was. Even though, Sam insisted she was a counterfeit, I wasn't quick to dismiss the idea that she might be the real deal or a different side of the moon goddess we know. The fact that remains is that none of us had ever met the goddess we prayed to. The one we called mother. We had only read accounts written by other people who might have also been told and only recorded what they were told by others. What if that was the moon goddess, and that was who she was. There were myths of her spreading madness during a full moon. Sam had said she was mad, and she did refer to herself as Luna. Dismissing the fact that she might be the real deal

O38 Preparations

Ellis The day of the solar eclipse was finally upon us. I was nervous as hell. I was yet to get over the incident, and I doubted if I would any time soon. William seemed alright apart from the fact that he easily got tired. It wasn't up to twenty-four hours since he woke up, so I saw it as an aftereffect of Luna's soul trap, and I hoped it would wear off soon. After spending time with Derek, I left him with his grandfathers and returned to our room to check on William. He wasn't sleeping, I found him pacing about the room with the television on. " Why are you pacing about?" I asked him, and he looked at me and smiled. " Been asleep for two days which isn't healthy. See it more like a mild workout since I am still too tired physically to do the actual exercise," he said, and I laughed at him. I picked up the remote and turned off the mute on the television. There was live footage of people setting up outside their homes to prepare for the eclipse. According to Johannes, it might las

039 The Eclipse

Ellis The gazebo was nicely decorated with food and drinks, and cushions. There was a big were carpet on the floor of the gazebo. The cushions were placed on the carpet so we could sit closely together. There was also the same arrangement on the carpet grass outside the gazebo for us to sit during the solar eclipse. William had them install a television at the gazebo. I knew it was for my benefit. If anything was going to go wrong, it would be on the news. It was thirty minutes to the Eclipse. Everyone was with us, and we waited. To my surprise, I saw a staff ushering Alex and Sam to the gazebo. Sam looked tired, and Alex looked happy. William and I got up to hug and greet them. The solar eclipse was showing signs already. " How did you get here so fast?" I asked Sam, and she yawned. " We left early, and Alex asked the driver to step on the gas." She explained to me. We all laughed at the eagerness to get to our estate. The deep sleep must have spooked Alex. It did the same to me e

040 Confusion

Ellis. We arrived at the mage's room. Sam lay on the bed, and William laid on the couch. I was scared and worried. Worried that I will fail them and allow Luna and Apophis to win. Alex went to where Sam lay and broke down completely. His fear and despair were overwhelming. I could not help ease his pain because I too was in pain. Knowing it would be up to me to solve this matter made me feel hopeless. Knowing no one could come to our aid made the pressure worse. I looked at Melena and Audrey, and they were as white as sheet. The fear that emanated from them was real. It also somehow destabilised me. The only time I saw them like this was when Nifrem possessed me, and they trapped me in the red room to try to get him out. They were very scared that evening, and right now, they had that look on their faces. "What is the matter?" I asked Melena, bracing myself for the worse. I looked at Alex, and he was just begging Sam to wake up. That was all one could do when helpless, but with what

041 Transfer

Ellis I was surprised to see Dinah and Ephraim. Remembering what Ephraim had told me the last time we met, I knew there was a possibility that Someone was messing with my mind, and they weren't there. It could even be Apophis and Luna in disguise waiting to get my guards down. But how did I get there, to begin with? Was I not trying to get to my bedroom? " Are you, you?" I asked, and Dinah began to laugh. " Probe me with your essence, child, and you will know," She replied, and I looked at Ephraim. They were both bound in golden chains, and I pointed at the chains. " Oh, this," She said, holding up her hands so I could see the binds on her wrists. " We are locked away," She replied. " Then how come you are here?" I asked, and Dinah pointed at me. " You essence called on us for help. The fates did not have any choice but to let us come to your aid," she said and giggled. " And besides, The scales are not balanced. It is two full gods against one demi-God. It is an unfair match."

042 Taking Back Control

Ellis I held Melena for a while and soon let her go. " How long has he been asleep?" I asked. " As soon as we entered," She replied and looked at me, confused. " Where did you go? You look and feel different"?" She asked me, and I smiled at her. " I wanted to come here, but I ended up finding Dinah and Ephraim," Her eyes lit up immediately. " So?" She asked me, and I told her all they told me and what they did. " That is why you smell different?" She said, grinning. I could feel the hope in her heart. It was obvious they did not believe the old me would succeed at the task. I had to commend both her and Audrey for hiding their true fears and beliefs. I knew it was to boost my confidence, and it worked a bit. " So, what will you do about the seed of evil?" She asked me, wondering what my plan was, and I looked at William. " I have to kill it. If William and Sam are spared, Apophis and Luna would have to look for substitute bodies, and they are going to be weaker and possible to

043 Aftermath

Ellis I woke up feeling refreshed. I looked out the window, and the sun was in the sky. I was glad deep down to see it. William exited the bathroom in his shorts. He looked relaxed and happy. "Someone is in high spirits this morning," I said, and he smiled at me and came to kiss me. I was naked. He kissed me and kissed my bump. " You felt different last night," He said to me, and I frowned, " How?" I asked. " I felt current enter and leave me," He said, and I knew what he was talking about. I pulled him to me, and he used that opportunity to tickle me. I laughed so hard, and he crashed his lips on mine. I kissed him back passionately, and he broke the kiss and rested his forehead on mine. " Thanks, Darling," He said, and I wondered what he was thanking me for, but I did not ask, so I do not make the moment awkward. William sat next to me on the bed and pulled me close. His hard muscles felt good to touch, and his scent was overwhelming., " Hope I didn't hurt you last night?"

044 Most Welcomed

William. While we are breakfast, I was glad to be back in one piece. Apophis and Luna had done unspeakable things to us. It was so brutal that I believed I was paying for my sins against the women I took in the red room. It sucks being someone's bitch. I was grateful for Ellis. Fate had used her to save me from that life. I woke up a broken man out of control. What seemed like a few minutes to everyone were like hours for us. We were in a different time and space. Only Sam and I knew what went down in that place, and I doubt if she could speak of it. I needed to take back control the only way I knew how and Ellis sensed it and let me. I was grateful to be away but afraid of all that Apophis and Luna told us. I was glad that my wife finally had the help she needed. After hearing what those two had planned out, I knew there was no way the old Ellis could survive their plans. My initial plan was to get her and Derek to safety before it began, but fate had surprised me by giving my wife e

045 Whitemoon Settlement

William We arrived at the pack to find chaos. It was like in my dreams, only the sun was up. I began to fear that I was dreaming. What happened to me the last time had made me start questioning reality. " What is causing this?" Alex asked me and Ellis replied. " Luna and Apophis," She said. " How do you know," I asked her, " It is in their aura," Abel replied on her behalf. The sane pack members were trying to restrain the mad ones with Silver. The problem started right at the gate to the clearing in the field. I saw Patrick restraining a feral wolf. The fact that they were pack members broke my heart, and it made me feel like a useless Alpha. " There isn't much we can do for them, their minds have been taken over by Luna, the mare of the moon," Abel said, angrily. " What do you suggest?", I asked him, and he looked at me. " As bad as this as this may sound, we have to kill them," he said, and I shook my head vehemently. " No, there has to be something else," I argued and sh

046 Chaos

William The moment we got to the office, Patrick began to speak. He didn't even wait for us to settle in. " It was terrible, Alpha," He said. Philip moved to sit by Ellis. I knew he was her trainer and all, but I wasn't comfortable about their closeness. The crisis made me not address the matter. " Their families claimed they had nightmares, and after the eclipse, they started acting funny. They weren't violent at first until when they started trying to escape this morning. We tried our best to hold them down. We could not attack them because they weren't attacking us but trying to get away. It was as if something or someone was calling on to them. They had lost their senses completely and did not seem to recognise who they were," He said, and Ellis spoke up. " They are soulless. They are no longer in there. All that exists is their spirit which is now mindless wolves," She explained without sugar-coating it. " We are supposed to kill them because they are never coming back, but y
