Chapter One10th January 2009Lagos, Nigeria.It was 1am and Biola Johnson sat at her table, in her bedroom in her palatial home located on Osborne road in Ikoyi, a highbrow area in the city of Lagos. She sat at the table studying the loan deal she signed three years ago, an activity she’s been performing at about the same time everyday, for the past three months. It was a chilly harmattan morning, and even though she had all her windows and curtains closed and her socks on, she still felt the cold all over her. This particular hamrmattan period was the worst she had ever witnessed in her entire life. Chapter Two10th, January, 2009.New York City, USA. Edwin Wolfgang woke up at 5:30am in the morning, he wakes up thirty minutes earlier than usual, on the day after his killer squad has carried out an assignment. He got out of bed, and did a few stretches, before going into the bathroom. Chapter Three11th January 2009.New York City, USA.Danny woke up at 4:30am feeling the same way he always since the day John Wayne gave him the case to investigate. He had been rolling from side to side on his bed, almost throughout the night the thoughts of nailing Wolfgang was what filled his mind. He had a quick shower and put on his sports gear, he locked his apartment front door and went to the gym. Chapter Four

Chapter Four12th, January, 2009.London, England.John Summers woke up at a few minutes past six am, he yawned and rolled over to the other side of his bed and sat up. He said a quick prayer and got up to go take his shower, dress up and get ready for checkout which was at 8am he would be travelling to Lagos, immediately after checkout. He would be flying to Lagos on a commercial flight, the company’s jet had developed a mechanical fault, and it would take a week for it to get fixed. He showered, combed his thick black hair and for the upteenth time wished his kinky hair would adhere to the hair treatments he had been using on it. He shaved his beard and chose a black designer suit from his suitcase for the trip. CHAPTER FIVE13th January, 2009.Lagos, Nigeria.John Summers woke up at a few minutes past 6am. After saying a quick prayer, he got out of bed, and went to the bathroom to have his bath. Fifteen minutes later, he was done taken his shower, and began to get dressed. Twenty minutes after, he was done dressing, he left the room, and went downstairs for breakfast.As he stepped into the elevators, he reminisced about the events of the previous evening. He had taken a stroll around the hotel premises, and down the street where the hotel was situated, and he enjoyed what he saw. Chapter Six  January, 14th , 2009.New York City, USA.Danny woke up a few minutes after 5’o clock, he quickly went into the bathroom to shower, he put on his sports gear, and his sneakers and went to the gym located down the street. As he exercised on the treadmill, thoughts of Wolfgang and his partner filled his mind. Chapter Seven 15th JANUARY 2009.LAGOS, Nigeria. Lekan Johnson got up from his bed at 5 am, he hardly slept throughout the night. He had woken up at some minutes past one, he had a nightmare and wasn’t able to sleep again. He had dreamt that a man dressed in all black whose body was looking burnt all over, was chasing him. He kept running away from the man, and did not see the huge pit in front of him. He fell into the pit, and kept falling, as the pit did not seem to have an end. When he woke up, he prayed with his rosary, he had recited the apostles creed and every other prayer he could think of. He was praying when he slept off again, and had the same dream, this time it was a horse-like bird with long vampire teeth, that was chasing him, he had fallen into the same pit. He had the same dream, all through the night, never sleeping for more than fifteen minutes, before waking up again.&nb

Chapter Eight New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. Manuel Rodriguez left his home in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on his way to New York for his meeting with Cummins. He took a taxi to the train station in Trenton.  16th January, 2009.LAGOS, Nigeria.John Summers woke up by 6:10 am, he quickly went to take his bath. He’d be checking out of the hotel by 7am, and he’d have to get dressed as fast as possible in order to be right on schedule, he had already packed his luggages the night before. By 6:45, he was fully dressed, and ready to checkout of the hotel. He locked the door to his hotel room, and dragged his suitcase, down the hallway and into the elevators, his laptop bag slung on his back. The elevator took him down to the groundfloor, and he stepped out and walked towards the checkout counter. As soon as he stepped out of the elevators, a bellboy rushed towards him and took his suitcase from him, pulling it to the checkout counter. The woman at the checkout counter typed away at her keyboard for a few minutes, before handing him his hotel bill for him to sign.He signed his bill, and paid with his card.

CHAPTER TEN On the spur of the moment, he decided to go and unwind at the club downtown. He had a quick bath, and changed his clothes, before leaving his house, he drove to the club in his Lambourghini Gallardo. He got to the club thirty minutes later, parked his car, and walked towards the club entrance. At the entrance, he greeted the Puerto Rican bouncer, Xavier who’s always stationed at the entrance of the club, standing at attention like a soldier. He handed the boucer, two hundred dollar bills, and walked into the club without waiting to acknowledge his stiff “thank you”. As he entered the club, he saw a very familiar face, it didn’t take him long to remember who the person is and where he had met him.
